I think you have to start the relearn process by first setting the down position, Press and hold for 10 seconds, then do the up position pull and hold for 10 seconds.
press and hold power and seek/track down for 10 seconds to enter diagnostics mode.
Press and hold power and seek/track up for 10 seconds to reboot Sync on the fly.
All done on the radio control knob an buttons. Not the steering wheel buttons.
The manual park release feature can only be used if the vehicle has some 12v power, enough that ignition can be set to the on position. Key on Engine off. In your case it sounds like this may not have been possible.
Best wishes and Good luck with your new truck! You need to update your profile, somehow, I have a feeling that that 17 Silverado is now in your past! :) ;)
My trucks fully updated in FDRS as of 3/28/24 with no updates available, and I still get phantom updates from time to time. I think its part of life now! ;):)
My thoughts exactly! This blue state we live in makes law abiding citizens criminals all of the time. We really need to get the hell out of here and move a state that protects it citizens and not criminals!
Relay attacks are accomplished because most key fobs transmitt a small signal even when laying stationary on a table they're still awake. The newest fobs fall asleep when stationary after X number of minutes and then wake on motion. By simply picking it up. Such as being in your pocket walking...
There is newer software available for you apim. Because you upgraded to the 12" screen FDRS does not recognize the APIM you installed as being correct for the truck. You will need to somehow
sideload the software in order to move forward. This is beyond my knowledge.
On many new vehicles the key fob "falls asleep " when left stationary on a table, and "wakes" on motion, picking it up from the table. This prevents a signal scanner from obtaining a signal from it that can be passed through to the vehicle. GM has added this technology to there key fobs in...
Rugedraw I see a lot of 23's popping up with an update for the OCSM lately. Do you know anything about what's behind that update? That's not something Ford should have gotten wrong, it's very rare that that would ever need to be updated. Did you see any TSB's about it?
It's great to see that another 21 Job 1 truck has been lifted out of its comatose state. Now you can finally enjoy the truck as it should have been on day 1.
Good luck with that new truck! Love Antimatter Blue is a great color, the only color in my opinion. Don't exile yourself from the forum because it's a Super Duty, everyone here loves Ford trucks and I'm sure that like to here more about it!
