I put 66 inch tires on, and lifted it about 3ft. Why does my mileage suck?
Kidding.
Bone stock, bout 2500 miles into it, love it so far and saw considerable gain in mpg as it broke in. Now despite going 55, 65, or 75 it hovers around 20mpg. I commute about 100 miles a day, some hills. 70% highway 30% city. The big variable is its been below 0 here for almost all the miles. Can any other cold climate owners weigh in on their MPG, is a loss of 2-4 mpg just to be expected in winter?

You'll have to also consider the fuel blends used. Winter vs Summer, you'll always get worse in the winter. You may have winter blend for longer in Alaska, but I have no clue. Everyone hates the auto start/stop, I have no issues with it. It'll also save you some mpgs (I don't think the Powerboost has it).

I have lived in a colder climate all my life and typically see approx 2mpg drop in the winter. FWIW I see this on our SUV's as well

My truck dropped 10-15% in fuel economy with the cooler weather here versus when I first picked it up in the summer. Getting ~21 now, was getting 23.5+ in warmer weather.

Hahaha, glad I wasn't the only one seeing my mpg dropped here in dirty jersey.

Yes, mine has dropped about 1-1.5 mpg starting around mid Oct. Has to be the winter blend because it still not cold here in NC. Going to be in the 70's this weekend. Might open up the hole in the roof and drive around

High altitude and lots of mountain driving, currently averaging less than 20mpg (I think the last fillup was 19mpg something)... In September I was seeing about 22mpg but probably was a lot softer on the gas pedal the first month too.

Night temps drop to single digits at night (but really bizarrely warm December so there are nights that hover right around freezing).

Going down the mountain I will use remote start to run for about 5-10 minutes, then drive it in ECO mode going downhill, which uses EV for about 70% of the trip (and truth be told it is a 1200 ft descent over about 4 miles so I could coast it most of the way too). Although at the moment recent snow has made the roads slicker than snot so I'm running in "slippery mode 4H" until I hit the dry pavement.

2-3 MPG loss here in NH. Between winter fuel, engine cold, heated seats/wheel using electricity causing less electric miles.

So, I'm obsessive enough to track every tanks' MPG by hand and record - using an phone app called Fuelio ... results below are for my old 2016 3.5 Ecoboost tracked over 5 years and 175k miles, there is a pretty obvious seasonality to the MPG for sure here in Michigan. Results in May/June/July are somewhat depressed because I tow a trailer a few 000 miles/year @ 10mpg, so factor that in, but otherwise, seems like a 1.0 (ish) MPG difference between summer and winter

And there is this chart, for just 2020, covering 37k miles, but i didn't tow the trailer (COVID ? ) which makes the seasonality more obvious ... and maybe more like 1.5 (ish) MPG

I got my truck in June. I was getting 24-25 average after about 1200 miles on the odometer. Temps here were between 60F in the morning and 90F in the afternoon. Typically, I'd see 20% electric driving / 80% ICE.

Now our temps are 40F pretty much all day. I'm seeing about 10% electric driving time, and 22-23 MPG. The seat heaters are on a lot! Mine is 4x4, and I use non-ethanol premium gas.

Living in Tennessee, I've been able to compare results nearly side by side over the past month or so. I've noticed on my commute on mornings when it was in the 20's, I was averaging 20-21. On afternoons when it was in the 70's, I was averaging 23-24. I've seen plenty of both situations, back and forth, since I bought the truck in October. The results have been pretty consistent.
