Yeah - I decided not to put one in after all. It was a great improvement when I put one in my 1997 Grand Cherokee (inline 6), along with a bigger throttle body, header, custom exhaust, ECM tune, etc.
None of that stuff for the Powerboost. 3 years on, and it's still stock.
My '21 Lariat FX4 has been trouble-free. I had the issue where the OTA software updates got stuck - never created a problem for me - dealer fixed it.
After I sold my camping trailer, I thought I might want to sell the truck. That thought lasted all of 3 seconds.
I have Echomaster cameras installed in my Sprinter mirrors, which are pointed aft and eye-level, and I get a good view down the side when the turn signal is activated. It's very handy.
However the cameras in my F-150's tow mirrors wouldn't help me see what was on my flank; they're actually...
here's a guess - your app settings don't allow Ford Pass to access cellular data, forcing the app to use bluetooth instead, which won't work unless you are in or near the truck
?
I can feel a difference between 87 and 91 when towing. I get about 10-15% better MPG with 91 octane. I decided to run 91 all the time, and I get "clean gas" (Ethanol free) as often as possible.
The letter I got from Ford - Customer Satisfaction Program 22B34 - states that the problem is "due to thread variations in the bolted joint".
The letter also says I will have both sides of the axle replaced under warranty.
My truck is a May '21 build, 19000 miles on it - nothing has broken yet...
If your next oil change is coming up, like in a few weeks, it can probably wait. If it's months away, then I wouldn't wait.
My previous turbo car (single VGT turbo, no blow-off valve) had a failing control motor for about 1000 miles before I had it repaired, and no detectable damage resulted...
I have never encountered the symptom recorded in your video. I tow ~ 5000 lbs with mine, over mountain passes, and have not experienced this. I'd say it's not normal, but I'm not an expert.
My best guess is the blow-off valve. A dealer may not be able to reproduce it without towing your...
Sorry, man, never had a leaky moonroof get fixed properly. Now I won't have one at all. It was always the drain tubes getting clogged or broken. I sold the VW, tried to fix the Jeep twice (now up for sale), and I ordered the 501A F-150 because it doesn't have a moon roof.
When I was living in South Austin a few years back, and I had to drive to Round Rock 3 times a week, I found that I was saving money by driving 130 (toll road, 30 extra miles) versus I-35 (traffic, accidents, major delays). Though I disliked the concept of the tollway, it was better than the...
I'll echo that statement from Snakebitten - the 7.2KW ProPower is different from the 2KW version. Mine delivers 60hz as reported by my Progressive EMS, and is capable of powering (most of) my house without any issues.
I'm not an electrician but it seems to me that 3rd order harmonics in the A/C...
Assuming you have a trailer with 30amp service, as I do....
You will have 3.6kw available (one bank of the ProPower) to the trailer. I think it's reasonable to expect that your battery will charge in about 1/3 less time than it does with your 2kw generator.
My trailer has 380watts of solar on...
The OEM Lariat 18" wheels that came with my truck are marked DOT E
The OEM tires are Goodyear Wranglers (LT?) and I'm now running Falken Wildpeaks (E).
My impression is that the Wildpeak tires (38 psi) are firmer but not harsh or bouncy. The Wranglers felt a little to soft for my taste, even at...
