Heated steering wheel KILLING ME!

Hello NEED HELP!



I have been at this all day; I have done every step 3 times. I went over each connection, each fuse. I think I did “restore” correctly. Still, I have the GREY out heated steering wheel for the HSW.

Have the raptor 2024 steering wheel so it’s heated.

Ran the harness for the paddles works great.

Ran the WPT-404 to the back of my new SCCM and clock spring. Ran the line across the BCM. I had a wire that looked exposed, so I repaired it.

Backed up the HVAC, SCCM and to be sure my APIM. I think I restored it correctly. This is the only thing left to do.



Any thoughts? Also, it was my post where my horn is not working.



Please no PRETTY PLEASE……..HELP!

I might be wrong but I think he means was it put into the steering wheel from the factory and not deleted. It may look like it is there but was actually deleted.

Do all of your blinker / wipers work properly? All indications point to not enabling the SCCM's HSW control. Not sure what you're referring to in regards to "backed up". It's not natively enabled and you must do it as instructed in the forscan changes. While wise to backup your values before each mod and even each OTA / FDRS update for the module being updated, you must still have the proper 'new' settings for the mod being installed.

Some modules when purchased new need to be 'programmed' with the proper software in the first place which is why it's important to verify other functions are working properly before worrying about 'new' functions.

All other items work. I am going to try the programming again. When you watch it on YouTube it take less than an hour I was out there from 11am to 5pm. Just frustrated I have done a lot of oem upgrades and never had an issue.

When you go into forscan are you clicking 'yes' to access saved vehicle? Click NO there and re-scan the truck -- then go to SCCM and let's look at the values. From there use the snipping tool "windows key + shift key + S" to draw a box around your SCCM forscan values and paste it here. When you use the tool, the snip is copied to the clipboard so just come back to this thread, click in the 'write your reply' and hit CNTRL + V to paste, or right click and select paste.
