Heated seats via FordPass

Any hacks to this? If I understand this correctly, you have to remember to click your seat heaters on before you leave the truck or live with the “auto” function which in my situation never really heats up the truck or the seats.

It seems like a 75k truck would allow you to turn on the seat heaters remotely.

How does auto not work?
Did you turn it on under settings?

50 degrees or less and heated seats, wheel, and all the heat is on. I really didn't expect it to have such a high temperature to turn it on. My 2011 would freeze my ass not running heat at 40 degrees when engine heat warmed the sensor.

My '21 Lariat remote start setting is Auto and the seats and steering wheel never come on (even though it says in the manual that they should below a certain outside temp) until you press the Start button in the truck.

Opposite here fully on when I get in then I turn off. Did you turn on every setting in the truck for it?

My 21 Platinum did the same. thing 2 days ago.. no heat to wheel and seats until I get in and press start. I am pretty sure this used to work..... Winter 2023. Must be an OTA messed something up there.

I have it set to auto. When I get in the truck - before I hit the ignition - the heated seat buttons are not lit and the seats don’t feel warm. Once I hit the ignition, the buttons light up and the seats start heating. I would think after 10 minutes of remote start that the seats would be warm.

It’s not OTA related. My job 1 21 lariat has never had warm seats when I remote start. Same for the steering wheel.

My 22 402A seats and steering wheel are warm with remote start. The lights on the hvac module are off until I start it, but you can tell they’re on. Conversely, in the summer you can tell that the ventilated seats were on. The lights in the hvac controls remain off until the start button is pushed.

Try leaving it on when you turn off the truck at night. It should be on when you remote start in the morning. This is the only way I get the passenger side to be active in the morning.

My 22 XLT PB seats are warm and the wheel is hot as well. It’s always nice and toasty when I remote start in winter.

Mine is on auto, if I remote start in winter the seats are on heat and the steering wheel heat is on. In the summer the seats are cooled. Never had an issue.
