Are these the only connectors you need? why 9 of the little ones? are they fillers?
IMG_4358.jpeg

are there two different connectors? Mine gets stuck down. wet snow plus -20F will lock them up pretty quick. I do wash my trucks with hot water once a week to remove ice buildup.
One connector has 5 pins, other has 4 pins. 9 plugs to cap off the wire side of the dead end connectors. Worth it to me and in a decade it will still be there. Can't say I would trust electrical tape to hold that long in an area that could get anything splashed up on it.

What do you use to cap the plug on the motors then? Wish there was just a spot in for scan to disable it below 50F or something.

My motors are not on truck and active air dam went into dumpster. Kept fixed air dam but been thinking of the Ford Performance skid plate for the Tremor look. My fixed air dam still has notable crease in it where active air dam was stuck on it.

If you wanted to cap the motors and leave on truck you would get opposite connectors to match what is in the link. That would be equivalent of what is on factory wiring.

Try to set

7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX 00xx
That might be the spot I was looking at months ago. I'd have to check my notes. Raptor and Tremor had value not on any other trim level for 21 trucks. 22 trucks had different number though. That lead me to believe it wasn't to do with the active air dam. I didn't want to break truck so never tried changing my values in Forscan.

I just tried the

7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX 00xx

no joy. It wouldn't even write it. I tried setting that same module as if I had the snowplow prep installed from the factory and the air dam still comes down

I did get a video of it going up and down. has nothing todo with trying to disable it. just interesting

Don't quote me on this but I thought I read on here that the active air dam is disabled when in 4 wheel drive. You should try that and see if it works since you have a way to verify it.

I've heard that as well. I will try it again tomorrow. The problem is that doesn't do me any good. My issue is ice buildup. I actually don't do a lot of daily driving in 4-wheel drive.

I was never trying to disable it when connected. My goal was to stop it nagging me with that soft code from PCM because I have it disconnected.

Try 7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX 01xx, seems to be common amongst the Raptor, Tremor and snow plow prep models.

I unplugged my actuators and got codes in the IPMA and PSCM. They did not set a MIL light but got the ding nannies and dash messages that popped on the dash. Plugged the actuators back in and nannies went away. powerboatr and I must have the only two out of a million odd trucks.

What is your current 7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX ??xx. I haven't looked at powerboost as-built data.

Well scratch that, success! I think... I was able to successfully write 7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX 01XX without issue. Cleared codes, went for a drive and when I got back, no code yet for lack of an air dam so that might be the ticket.

@rugedraw and everyone else that ditched it, you might try and same and see if you get the same results with no more silent DTC.
