Yeah that sounds like a cop out to me. I have nothing plugged in or on either. I told the guy all I know. Hopefully it’s something software wise they can fix either now or in the near future. But hey, that’s what we get for buying the first one’s of the redesign!
This does sound like a cop-out.

The Ford web site has a video on the Battery Management System. It is supposed to shut down other devices (e.g. the radio, power plugs, chimes) automatically when the battery gets below a certain threshold in order to preserve the battery for Startup. Maybe there’s a software bug or maybe there’s a physical short circuit causing the power leak. Either way, it’s a problem that Ford needs to resolve, not punt.

Good point about the risks we’re talking as first adopters of a new product! ?

precisely why I bought the 8yr 150k extended warranty from flood Ford.

I’m not having issues with the battery but the charging system. But I’m assuming they might be related. Who knows. I hope to know more today.

how much is that? My dealer offers lifetime powertrain for free. I would imagine the charging system besides the battery is included.

Definitely sounds like software issues which I hope they can resolve through an update.

I wonder if the @Administrator can start a new Google Sheet where anyone with an issue can report it, along with relevant model information and build date? Might be helpful to track some of these issues as they occur.

Thanks for posting the vid. I’d say it pertains more specifically to the issue that I’m having. I received the FordPass notification that said my vehicle was going into “deep sleep” mode to preserve battery life....well, it didn’t preserve my battery at all. My battery was drained and nothing worked. If it hadn’t been for the metal key hidden in the key fob, I have no idea how I could have opened my truck.

Yep, the admins should make a sticky so we can track this stuff.

In the forum under Tech then issues and repairs, just follow the link.
That was just me making an attempt at humor.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is to not get too serious on these forums. This forum is very tame......so far anyway. ?

Cheers, Bob. ?

Yeah and tame is good I think, keeps the rift raft out that tries to take over everything with crap and hate.

And here's hoping that it stays that way for a very, very long time!

Guess i could have looked a little deeper as well before I prompted the admin to create a list.
