This does sound like a cop-out.Yeah that sounds like a cop out to me. I have nothing plugged in or on either. I told the guy all I know. Hopefully it’s something software wise they can fix either now or in the near future. But hey, that’s what we get for buying the first one’s of the redesign!
The Ford web site has a video on the Battery Management System. It is supposed to shut down other devices (e.g. the radio, power plugs, chimes) automatically when the battery gets below a certain threshold in order to preserve the battery for Startup. Maybe there’s a software bug or maybe there’s a physical short circuit causing the power leak. Either way, it’s a problem that Ford needs to resolve, not punt.
