We purchased our F-150 Platinum from Granger in 2021, and drove it back to Florida. No other dealer came close at the time to their pricing, and the service was impeccable.
Thinking about upgrading to an F-250 for towing a bigger Airstream. If/when that happens, Granger will get the first...
Just started getting it this week after picking up my Job 1 Platinum PB, with the (incomplete) BC updates, and trailer controller update. I have a feeling that it's related to the updates.
When I take the truck back in in a couple of weeks, after the TBC update drops, I'll have the dealer...
Jumping in here late, but I too had this issue.
Turns out, the batteries on my airstream were not producing enough amps and needed to be replaced. Issue solved.
Albert, Albert. What a tremendous loss and I'm without words. He came to this Forum when it was only a 100 or so members, and offered to simply give advice and answer questions. Within a few weeks, he got his GM to agree to offer something no other dealer was advertising - some of the best...
I had to do the same thing when I purchased from Granger. They had to show Ford, I assume, that I was a real person. Mine was a stock order converted to retail and this took place in December.
This ???
Tesla owners have a ton to add to this discussion, because we've been the early adopters of long range ev (aka "guinea pigs"). While the Lightning is going to be a great fleet vehicle, it's not a tow vehicle. Not yet, at least.
It looks cool with an airstream behind it, doesn't...
Some day...
The pull through charging stations are what we really need to be able to effectively tow with an EV, and we need a lot of them because the range is so limited.
It's a chicken and the egg scenario with the current battery technology. Bigger batteries = more weight = less payload.
Tesla has shown what a reliable charging infrastructure network looks like, and how it all but eliminates range anxiety for new adopters. Once the infrastructure bill passes and is funded, you're still looking at a 5 year build out, minimum, but it will eventually happen.
The only thing...
Guess I'm going to have to adopt @currybob M/O and get a new F150 every few years to take advantage of these desirable options.
Wife is going to hate Ford for this!
I received a "Rev Industries" tonneau as part of my factory package. It took a little research, but I found that it was manufactured by "Truck Hero", so it's a BakFlip by any other name. https://truck-hero.com/bakflip-mx4-truck-bed-cover
I'm overall very happy with it, and it's kept 95%+ of the...
We have these nasty insects in Florida called "love bugs". Their body contains an incredibly acidic chemical, which when it gets on your car, can damage the paint or plastic within a day, if you're not careful. To make matters worse, they love to swarm over asphalt, which most of our roads...
Eric,
I swear that I read somewhere that it had something to do with the geography of the St. Clair River in Michigan, near the Dearborn plant, but now i can't find anything on that.
You've hit the nail on the head. It's all a matter of what matters to the driver. Ford certainly provides us with a ton of optioning. Are you planning on your F150 being primarily a tow vehicle? Then you can option it as such. Doubling up duty as a daily driver? You've got choices.
The...
