Cup holder light installation/media bin light/glove box light

Found an old picture of the 2015-2016 cupholder lights at the top as opposed to the 2017-2021 lights on the bottom. Which do you guys like better?

I went with blue to match the lower glove box light which I also did in blue.

just finished my lights and hvac. Pretty straight forward, just had to load the original hvac codes twice to get everything working. The video showing dash trim removal was great help but I would not expect most of it to come loose as easy as shown. And also thanks to the OP for the help.

I too prefer the rings but I like the darker blue of the older Ford. That would go great with the Atlas Blue I have coming.

I’ll have to update with pics at a later time though, this thread has plenty.
I’ll start by saying I bought the metal trim/pry tool listed earlier in this thread.

first, the trim around the radio was a BITCH! Got all the way around towards the start stop button and COULD not get the trim to come loose. It took an obscene amount of force but nonetheless it came off.
After that, everything came off without a hitch. I had to go back on page 7 or 8 to a write up to figure out the harnesses (can’t remember who but thank you) and done. Took me about 90 min simply bc of the first trim, taking my sweet ass time and fighting off a horde of mosquitos

oh, got my parts two weeks ago from fairway ford in ohio. Had all three parts in stock and the cup holder had the lights. $96 shipped I believe and it took a total of 5 days between the order and when they arrived.

Since most of my time is now over on the Lightning forum, I never came back here to post a pic of my finalized work. Thanks to @JHForman812 and all others that have contributed here. I added the cupholders and the media bin and glove box lights.

For those of you tracking, the Lightning was cheated out of these lights just like the upper end '22 ICE. All media and literature and early builds for the Lightning all had the ambient light cupholders, but not one came from the factory like that.

After the pic I realized my Lightning bolt was upside down, so I rotated it 180 degrees, but didn't snap another picture.
