I think you misread what the post was saying. He’s saying plug and play is the ML3Z parts people wanted the lowerpocket lights back. The FL3Z numbers are the color change
Can you move the color sliders? And when you select a color on screen is it obvious that color is selected ? Like has an outline around the color bubble ?
Straight from the reference thread, also your sync software needs to be up to date, ford broke the color change feature at some point and fixed it according to some.
These should be the color change door lights
The doors don’t fit 100%. The harness for the doors are a little bit shorter and don’t clip on the holder spots. I used these parts numbers
FL3Z-13C724-D Wire Assembly (Driver-side front door)
-FL3Z-13C724-E Wire Assembly (Passenger side, rear...
In order for this to work you must have the color changing lights from a 17 or whatever year ford last did them. If you just have factory blue they aren’t gonna work.
Guide on swapping the door lights? It’s been discussed in here.
media bin/large console/glove box are always on when key is on. Ambient foot well/doors/cup holders are only on when it’s dark enough to trigger them. You have an ambient light sensor in the center of your dash.
this is from the last gen trucks use at your own risk
Door Ajar Color Cfg
Ambient Lighting Door Ajar Color: Sets the color of the open door ambient lighting with the door open.
Ford: 0=Ice Blue, 1=Orange, 2=Soft Blue, 3=Red, 4=Green, 5=Blue, 6=Purple
Lincoln: 7=White, 8=Amber, 9=Teal, A=Red...
It can still be done, ford messed up the color changing function via sync, the doors changing colors when the door is opened is a BCM setting not an APIM setting.
I believe this might be the line
726-55-01
**xx
xxxx
xx--
AjarColor_Cfg (ACC) • Undefined / Not Used = Hex2Dec(**) • Range: 0 - 15
Not in this thread yet, cause at the time ford had deleted the color changing function or messed it up in the software not sure which but now it has been fixed. are you wanting full color change? or just the doors?
