Is everyone who made a harness using 22g wire? I got alarm wire from Lowes and it is noticeably thinner (I think just shielding)
Wiring requirements would be based on amperage draw and voltage. The factory stuff is closer to 24g just going off looks of it. All my harnesses are built using 22g TXL didn’t you get a harness from me?

I did, but I was making a female to female extension since the cup holder I ordered came with the LEDs and I wanted to fish it the easier route, so it made sense.

However, I reversed the polarity (I actually had it right the first time, but a wire broke when inserting into the housing) and sent the OEM LEDs out with a fizzle, thankfully I was able to get it to working with the other LEDs you sold me, but I just have to fish a bit (not a big deal).

I was also planning on building another harness to do the upper cubby after learning to make the extension.

But the experience has left me with a big ol fuck that feeling.

Also, is anyone else not getting the ambient light to come on unless the headlights are on? I thought turning it on in the settings made it always on.

The ambient will not turn on unless the headlights are on or parking lights. That’s the way they operate. Ok talking about the easy route are you wanting to do it where you pull the console back? Also if I were to add the upper after the fact I’d either build a harness like you are doing or I’d cut the connector off and hard wire it.

I want to they were always on in my 13th gen ,but in my 14th they are only on when the headlights or parking lights are on. as @JHForman812 noted above :(

So you’re telling me I really need to get intimate with Forscan and figure out to enable when running lights are on.

You could try but just because it was possible in the 13th gen doesn't mean it's possible in the 14th gen. A good example is the reverse tire mirrors. You can turn it on but it doesnt work as expected.

Not trying to convince you not to try. Please do. I miss having them on all the time.

Alright, here you go( photo). I got my order in for the four ambient light door harnesses, they seem to have the two lights , one is a long white/ clear bar and the other is a small optical light.

sadly, one of them was broken, the right rear door, however I’ll get a replacement for that one soon.

What screws did you buy to hold these in place on the door card?

Time will tell on these door leds. I've now had all my orders canceled for a few different places. I've even bought and very overpaid these from Ebay and have had those sellers cancel on me too. Apparently the sellers on ebay are dealers that don't even have the parts. They order them when someone wins the bid. Such BS.

To the lucky few that have these, Can we get a up close picture of the two leds? Are they in fact the same led? If they are, Can someone find the part numbers for the 2022 door leds? At least the mounting and color would match, just need to do a little soldering.

I’m not sure exactly what you’re needing but here’s a few photos of the front door/driver side harness connectors and lighting connectors.

I think so as others have stated that the upper part of the door is still illuminated with a little bit of light
