So my Bluecruise is expiring and I have the offer to renew for 3 years for $600. I’m leaning against it but looking for advice. I’ve enjoyed Bluecruise but pretty much keep my hands on the wheel anyway when using it, so I feel like lane centering + adaptive cruise pretty much covers my needs.
If I took more trips I think I’d do it, but I’m hoping there will be future promos when 1.3 rolls out to our trucks and I can see if it is significantly better.

Thoughts anyone?

I wish I had more insight. I'm a few months out from the same decision. I really like Bluecruise and use it all the time, but $600. Ughh.

You won’t get a better promo than the Job1 $600 for 3 years.

BC1.4 is probably worth $200/year if you drive 20K miles per year or more.

There may be an option for another year free. They did this on the MME, haven't seen an F150 report getting it. The $600/3yr is far better than everyone else's $800/yr. Personally I'd buy a comma 3x before even considering $800/yr.

Looking at a 2025 explorer ST and they want 700/yr. That's crazy for a handful of road trips a year. 200/yr seems reasonable to me.

Yeah, the $800 a year number is what I’ve seen. That’s over the top greedy

If I can get the $600/ 3yr (or similar) I will. If I can’t I won’t. I’m someone who uses it daily and have been lucky enough to experience 1.4, which is immensely improved over the original release.

I received the $600 offer but haven't seen the 1.4 version kick in. I have only had access to BC for under a year since the OTA updates haven't been functional for the first two years but IMO it's not worth the money unless the purchase would upgrade to 1.4.

If you really think through the price of a Blue cruise subscription. I would venture that at least 95% of that money your paying is being used by Ford to insure themselves for potential lawsuits that could result from accidents involving Blue cruise.

It's level 2 adas, aka, YOU not the vehicle, is in full control. The vehicle is assisting you.

you’re being asked to pay $600. You’re getting a 72% discount. Hard to pass on that. Prices will probably go up. They always do.

Oh yes I get that. But.. there are to many money hungry attorney's in this country that will gladly take up a case against the big pockets of Ford when something screws up, and ends up killing a few people. Just to the point that when they say "hands free" and the system screws up and drives the vehicle into a bridge abutment and kills a family, the media will instantly crush Ford in the news and it will bring huge lawsuits.

Thanks for the feedback all. I think I've decided to pass on the renewal. I just don't drive enough highway miles to justify it, even at the $200/year price. I'm interested in trying 1.4 when it arrives, if I'm able to, maybe it will change my mind...Sure hope there's some sort of additional offer/trial when it comes out, if its as big of an improvement as it sounds like it is, then I'd think they would want people in my situation to have a chance to re-evaluate

As a driving aid on longer road trips, I get $200/year worth of value and would renew myself. It helps reduce some fatigue and I don't get the constant alerts other have reported.

I wouldn't pay much more than that; certainly not the $800/yr.
