Any Regrets Getting Tow Mirrors?

Looks like I'm in the minority. I have 1100 miles on my truck and I still hate the tow mirrors. I came out of a 15 with standard mirrors and think it's way easier to glance and see what is going on with the smaller mirrors. The visibility trying to turn left and look for cars coming from the right blows as well.

I don't know if it's worth swapping out but if I had a do over I wouldn't get them again. For the ~2000 miles of towing I do a year the other mirrors were fine.

I have the black caps ordered for mine. I cant believe Ford has a Sport Appearance package that eliminates chrome except on the tow mirrors

They match the chrome exhaust tip....

It is disappointing but both are easy enough to resolve. I went body color on the mirrors, and scuffed up the chrome exhaust tip before hitting it with satin black engine paint.

How'd the exhaust tip turn out? Did you pull the tip off to do the paint or did you tape everything off?

Definitely take it off....just pull while twisting. I used my oil filter strap wrench but it will come off by hand. It slides back on so easy you'll think it's going to fall off....it isn't. And yes, for a few dollars in paint I think it turned out very good. Full story here:

I love the tow mirrors so much, I'd like to find a way to get them put on both our Odyssey and Outback too.
