Another modification for my F150. Tired of the old school look of the whip antenna that ford installs by default, so I bought this spiral antenna from AUXITO to replace it. Took a couple of minutes to install, you will need a small crescent wrench to remove factory antenna. Don’t be nervous it’s a bit stiff to start but it’s because they used loctite to secure it from would be hooligans from unscrewing it by hand. Reception is excellent, hardly ever turns on am, Fm works just as well as old whip antenna, this one has metal core so it picks up reception with no issues.

I installed this one last week. Looks like the OP's. Seems to work about the same as the OEM.

This looks very nice and I would like to ask if you are also interested in AUXITO's LED products?AUXITO would like to invite you to do a review of them and we would be happy to send you a free sample.

Builtright industries has the nicest, best quality and most attractive of them all. I've been through a number of shorties over the years and the Amazon ones just never did it for me.

The OP's one looks pretty cool. The stock one doesn't bother me yet, so maybe someday..

How is the reception with these shorter antennas.
As a counterpoint to @kb2755 ’s response, I tried the Rydonair short antenna for a few months, and ended up switching back to the factory whip antenna. The Rydonair was dropping signal too frequently, especially when I was out in the country further away from the broadcasting towers.

I don’t care for the look of the factory whip antenna, but at least it works. @AntyRun ‘s spiral antenna looks different enough that maybe it’ll function better? Maybe I’ll give that one a try.

That was my concern as I’m out in the country and didn’t know how well it would work.

It’s a fairly low-cost investment, so there’s not much risk in giving it a try if you like the look.
