Thudnblunder, stop bragging. Some of us have had our Smoked Quartz platinum PB on order since august with nothing special ordered besides 701A. Still unscheduled. Just curious, Did you have adaptive steering on your order? At about the same time you were putting in your order I was talking about adding AS to my order with my dealer. They said it shouldn't make a difference. A week later after seeing several others get scheduled with AS added I tried to add AS and was told that I couldn't as Ford had put me to a priority 2 and still I am unscheduled. Ford really needs to get this stuff straightened out.

I got it from Granger when I emailed to ask about making a change to my order. Everything over email.

Order placed 11/29/21 with Chip at Granger Motors, received confirmation same day.

Received an email from Ford today that my order is scheduled for production the week of 1/3/22. I am amazed I got scheduled so quickly!

I hope you get it soon. I have a VIN and build week (Jan 3-7) from the dealer but no email from Ford yet. I entered my order on 11/16/21.

Congrats on your first 4x4 F-150! FYI-You should be able to go on the Ford owner site with your vin and order number and track the building progress yourself. I got my new 2021 F-150 Lariat Power boost SC 4x4 on October 7th after a 5 month wait. This was my first time custom ordering a new F-150. I’ve also had a new 2015 F-150 Lariat and a new 2018 F-150 Lariat and before that I bought a new 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 crew cab that was fully loaded and drove it for 11 years. I’ve had good luck with all my trucks so far.

I had AS added to my (current) Granger order later.

I also had another earlier order for the same truck without AS from another dealer that I cancelled because they wouldn't budge from MSRP. Even after I cancelled my order, that dealer did not cancel the order (they'll sell it themselves I guess). That order was placed 10/28 and has a VIN already and a build week of 12/6. Since the order was in my name I was still getting updates from Ford via email on it and that was a Smoked Quartz 701A Powerboost, FX4, max tow, 7.2KVa, moonroof, spray in bed liner, work surface, lay flat seats etc but no AS.

So identical orders except for the AS and they seem to have been:

10/28/21 (order) - 12/6/21 (build week scheduled) (Priority 10, no A/S)
11/16/21 (order) - 1/3/22 (build week scheduled) (Priority 19, with A/S)

Factoring in Christmas / holidays, and the priority codes, the A/S didn't seem to matter much on my two Platinum orders.

Congratulations! I got my VIN today and a build date of 24 Jan. I ordered mine 22 November. Very similar timeline as you.

Added my new order to the list. This is my second recent order. Admin, you can remove my order 7899 from the list. This one was ordered 7/14/2021 as a 2021 model. I reordered a 2022 on 10/26/2021 including the BAP. Yesterday I had the dealer remove the BAP and today received a build week of 1/3/2022 and my VIN. Happy days.

Did you notice you're not getting auto start/stop?
I wonder how do they decide which trucks get it and which aren't.

Yes and honestly, im thankful that was an option for me. My rep told me that Ford is highly encouraging dealers to option it off on all trucks to save the chipset required for stop/start. Additionally, I had a coworker who recently ordered a Chevy Tahoe. He told me the dealer said it was not an option, and that all new vehicles from Chevy would not be equipped with start/stop.

I got an email last night that truck #1 (that’s going to the dealer and no longer my order) slipped to the week of 12/16/21.

I do not have an email from Ford on truck #2, just an email from Granger so I don’t know if that slipped pst the week of Jan 3-7 too.
