  1. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

+1 on SK quality and manufacturing, they’re world leaders in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. The two rears below, less shoulder wear but I rotate them every oil change. Weird that the Ford dealership didn’t catch the alignment issue - they see the truck every oil change and tire...
  2. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

    35-36 PSI.
  3. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

Yes the pattern looks off to me too. I will with new tires.
  4. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

25K miles is about 40K kilometers though. :)
  5. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

Doh that would have been useful info to include. I’ll edit the post to add it. Hankook Dynapro AT2.
  6. OEM tires wore out pretty quick

My PowerBoost has done 25K miles. I’m ready for new tires and leaning towards Wildpeak AT4W in the stock size. Kinda surprised at how fast the OEM tires wore out. Rotated every 5-7K miles. These are Hankook DynaPro AT2 tires. How long did the OEM tires last for you folks? One tire had a slow...
  7. DIY PACKOUT Wall Installed

That’s pretty smart and looks good too. I had no idea packout walls existed, I do not have a need for one, yet I am intrigued and impressed!
  8. How to get into accessories mode with push to start?

One day I hope there will be an aftermarket mod and battery to accomplish this. A slightly bigger battery, wider SOC range and our mpg should see a significant improvement.
  9. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

The safe ended up being pretty easy to move with the door still on, so it worked out. But yeah if it had been much heavier then I'd have figured something out :)
  10. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

I know how to remove it. When you unlock it, and open it halfway, it lifts right off the hinge pins. I didn’t remove it before loading though (lack of experience!) and then at home it was hard to open it with the full weight of the door holding it shut and no handle (disassembled and packed...
  11. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

I thought about it but I figured I’d lose some fingers trying to open the door when the safe was on it’s back with the handle hardware packed inside the safe. :D
  12. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

Yes it turned out to be very sturdy!
  13. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

While this one can be bolted to the floor, the concrete pad my home is built on has tensioned rods running through with a warning not to cut or drill into it so I have to figure something else out.
  14. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

So when I picked up the safe at Tractor Supply, I went in to the counter. And then the guy told me to drive out back where they’d load it up. I dead pan asked “It will fit in my Honda Civic hatchback, right?” and the guy looked shell shocked before I said “I’m just kidding, it’s a truck”. :)
  15. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

I got it done last night with no drama. It was about 400 lbs, not 450 lbs (I bought a slightly smaller one in the end). Did not take the door off. The tailgate took the weight with nary a creak. I used a section of 3/4” plywood to protect the edges of the tailgate. I thought about how to...
  16. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

Some great ideas and insights here, thank you all. To be clear I’m not planning to lift it out of the bed nor drop it three feet on to the floor. My plan was to bring it to the edge of the tailgate and then use cargo straps to control sliding it down. And then a dolly after that. I'm 250...
  17. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

I'm assuming the store I'm buying it from is using a forklift to load it in. I'm getting it out by rolling it on PVC pipes to the edge of the bed off the tailgate, and then lowering it to the floor with two people with cargo straps. My question is if the tailgate can take 450 lbs on the...
  18. Loading/unloading a 450 lbs safe from truck bed

Hey all, I'm picking up a safe and planning to bring it home in my F150 Platinum - how much weight can the powered tailgate take in the open position? Can I safely slide the 450 lbs safe and tip it out over the opened tailgate onto a dolly without damaging the tailgate? I plan to use 3/4"...
