8k miles on my Xlt fx4 and I’m at 26.1 lifetime average. Luckily we had a mild winter. I did notice huge drops in mpg on cold days. You really have to game it if you want to maximize mpg. If you just want to drive normal that’s cool too. With just over 10,000 on my 2021 Power Boost, I have tried and never reached 20 MPG average on a tank or tanks of gas. To the 21 vs 22 window sticker question. I believe Ford reduced the MPG estimates for the 2022's because they couldn't defend 24MPG with the EPA.
To those whom are claiming mid 20's MPG I call BS and ask how much Ford is paying you.
You need gasGetting better. Just hit 2k miles.
If my math is right that puts you at about 22.7mpg not towing. That's pretty good for 12,125 non towing miles. At 14,000 miles and one year of driving, I'm getting 19.3 mpg lifetime with 1,875 of those miles towing our travel trailer at an average of 9.8 mpg. I also began using 91 octane at about 8000 miles. No modifications.
I'm confident the mpg will increase, at least a little moving forward, as I have learned more about the techniques for driving the Powerboost, both with and without the trailer attached.
38% electric is an insane ratio. That's awesome!Just the trip I took back from the golf course today on roads mostly 55mph but down to 35 and even 25mph.
Not sure about prices in your area, but around here diesel is $1.50 more per gallon over 87 octane. And no geny with the diesel. Those Powerboost trucks don't seem real impressive when the little 3.0 Powerstroke diesel gets the same MPG.
Shouldn't those little turbo engines be run on premium fuel which is about the same price as diesel. Not sure about prices in your area, but around here diesel is $1.50 more per gallon over 87 octane. And no geny with the diesel.
Definitely was watching the eco coach quite a bit but was just in normal mode! My total over the 240 miles I’ve put on is 22 but basically because of all the power but to go 42 miles and ~26 miles on gas and *not even use a gallon of gas per the trucks computer* is pretty impressive!38% electric is an insane ratio. That's awesome!
