What grade fuel for PowerBoost?

So while you guys are measuring lightsabers.... If I just want to cruise the grocery store parking lot and occasionally tow 6000lbs, is running 87 fine or is 91/93 really needed when towing ?

Heck yea, I just pulled an 8,000lb trailer from Walcott IA up over Wolf Creek pass at 10,800 to Hesperus, CO at 6800 right at 1200 mile trip. I burn nothing but 87 and the truck does just fine. Got 8.3 mpg while pulling the trailer but I learned a few thing about gear selection to optimize fuel milage (don’t alway use tow haul mode either). The Hybrid is a bad mammer jammer in my book.?

I bought it for powering my RV and to tow.
I'm happy that it gets better gas mileage than my 18, of course, but it's not why I parted with that truck.

Where's all the faster trucks? I mean oem, of course.

The dyno never lies and there ain’t a single sole on this forum gonna notice a 20hp gain by running 93 octane. You all funny thinking that 20 hp is worth the extra dollars in fuel. I bought the Hybrid to save on fuel cost, not go racing, yea the truck is bad ass but so is a whole lot of other trucks out there that are faster and quicker so don’t go think you got yourself a race truck. Ford tunes?? Hahahahaha,

The Hybrid is not the best mpg engine in the line-up or the most powerful if upgraded and tuned – and yes, there are souls who would care about hp or torque gains, but others (e.g. me) also care about towing performance and engine load, not just hp, but total range under load, not to mention the 7.2 kW onboard power.

My truck absolutely identifies as a race truck. It goes down the race track so therefore it’s a race truck. It won’t be the fastest but in bracket racing it’s not about being the absolute fastest it’s about vehicle being consistent and being able to cut a good light.

I don't understand what you're saying. Being at a race track or on a drag strip does not make a vehicle a race car or truck, but my question is why describe a Ford Flex in a thread about fuel and the F-150 Hybrid?
If you have a PowerBoost, almost no matter what you're doing with it, it's not a "race truck" … the Raptor and the TRX are not Baja race trucks … they're consumer lifestyle vehicles … but if you've set it up to run the quarter mile, that would be interesting to read about what you've done.

Yea… that’s probably the best part, no freaking noisy ass generator. I love how the truck just sits there waiting for me to turn on the microwave.???? This truck was made for the RV enthusiast.
