That sounds similar. I think it's an exhaust heat shield. Or the transmission is empty. Kidding! : ) But I did read about some people receiving their truck a little low on trans fluid. I checked mine, just in case, but a dry trans sounds quite different and there's a warning light. : )

Could be an example of the heat shield noise. I recall a few people posting about this sort of noise, especially on cold starts. My "diagnostic" method is to get on a crawler and push things with the handle of a hammer till I find something that changes the noise … : )

There's an update to fix the hard shifting. It involves software and "cables" (does this trans even have a cables?) My truck still makes shift mistakes, but it's now smooth and reliable, no need to drive cautiously waiting for the next hard shift. There's still the "turbo lag" in Eco mode...
