Update available that needs permission

The top status bar in my truck has an update icon with a lock behind it. When I touch it tells me there is an update available that needs permission. When I click on that message it does nothing. This update with a lock icon won't go away.

I'm already on 3.5.4 so I'm up to date.

Anyone else see this and know what it might be?

Yes, it's a PCM update that only Tremors are getting. Post or send me your VIN and I'll take a look at it.

Did it go away? Mine successfully updated to 3.5.4 according to fordpass but is still showing the lock behind update icon a week later.

After I stopped the truck and pressed the lock it asked me to accept the update. It installed and the checkmark came back. After selecting the checkmark it went away.

This is all I can find on it. I did read somewhere else that it improves drivability and one person that got it reported better shifting across high gears, as well.

Btw: In the OP's case, it is not the BCM update. The last thing I see on his OTA history is 3.5.4 a week ago. I am not sure why his truck is showing an update is available.

Fair enough, guess I'll just sit tight and see what happens. Now if Google would just give me cool walk already, I feel like I'm the last one.

My android auto app literally just updated right now, I'm driving. AA Disconnected and reconnected, still no cool walk. WTF

It doesn't mean anything. I got coolwalk activated 1-2 weeks ago, and it was working before my AA updated to the version you just got on the playstore. I had it working with 8.6.625 still on my phone.

I know it's server side, but I figured if they are pushing updates past the original that you needed for cool walk, they'd surly be on it. Ugh

Nope. Someone on F150 forums posted they got that update and no coolwalk a few days ago. One thing apparently has nothing to do with the other.
