Turning off the adaptive headlights

I read a post and can’t remember where, either here or on FB about a new update that removed the ability to turn off the adaptive headlights.

I just took delivery of my 22 and I’m not a huge fan of the adaptive headlights honestly. I see no setting in the menu to turn this off under headlights. Is there something else or will this be a FORScan thing?

I see them move with just the slightest input of the steering wheel and it was aggravating on a short drive I can’t imagine longer.

1. Press Settings on the touchscreen.

1. Press Vehicle Settings.

1. Press Lighting.

1. Switch Adaptive Headlamps on or off.

Set the lighting control to the autolamps position to use the adaptive front lighting.

What your describing isn’t actually adaptive headlights as I recall. In the us, adaptive headlights aren’t yet approved. I recall from another thread that our Canadian friends to the north had the menu option to turn off adaptive lighting as Canada allows adaptive lighting.

But I hear you on the dynamic bending headlights. It’s not like they gradually move with the steering. They seems to be full left, center, or full right. It doesn’t take much steering input to shift them off center. Wish I could lock mine to center.

That's "Glare-Free Lighting"

Ford calls the Dynamic Bending Headlamps "Adapive Front Lighting" in the manual.

While they say this can be turned off, this seems to be one of those vestigial instructions like the one for the Dynamic Hitching Assistance (different than the regular Trailer Hitching Assistance we all got) feature that wasn't included, yet shown in the manual.

I finally had a chance to check mine this morning. MY22 and I don't have the option. I enabled the glare free lights on mine.

I actually like the adaptive/dynamic headlights as it helps at night on curves with the deer around here.

I wonder if you can turn the headlights to on and have that disable the adaptive lights, like the manual says.
