Good stuff man! Did you happen to take any photos of the harness you made?
If I had to do it again I would look into the possibility of making my own.
I’m considering adding the Auxbeam panel someplace else as well for other lights since I have my ditch lights connected to a switch for each...
It’s pretty simple. The parts mainly come apart with screws. Then you’ll find about 10 or so spots that are plastic melted rivet like connections. You’ll just cut those with a sharp razor and you can pull the whole panel out. There are portions that hold it back in with screws. I went an extra...
Yes it’s possible. It will require use of an exacto knife but it absolutely can be done. I did it with mine and save $150 on the console itself by buying with less options.
There’s a couple screws you remove in the visor and the front just pulls down. Did you ever get the PDF of the instructions from Boosted Grey Goose? I’m not sure if all but the headliner is held in place at the front with the visor screws and strong magnets.
I did what another member here did. You go from the A pillar down to under the passenger side carpet. There’s a little grommet you can pull and cut a small slit in to feed the harness under the truck. From there you go into the wheel well and then up.
I did something similar at the advice of a Facebook commenter. I cut them down to size and just stuck them on. Didn’t have to pull the vent off. I wired them to my Aux switch panel along with the raptor style lights.
I spent the other night creating my wiring to go with the supplied deutsch 4 pin connectors. Used some braided loom and man that stuff is interesting to work with. Downside was all of the butt splices make it pretty thick in the same area so it doesn’t fit as well under the rubber cowl cover...
I bought a set of Diode Dynamics ditch lights and they came with their own wiring that gives the option to use factory AUX pigtails. The wiring has a wired in relay since the standard application is to wire directly independent any other wiring and they supply the switch.
I have a desire to run...
12o clock was like 88 and somewhere near the 10/2 positions were the warmer bits. I know other brands like Jeep those get toasty and I have to turn it off even in the not so cold temperatures.
I know you can change the steering wheel temperature in FORScan, which I have done. How hot should it actually be getting up to? It feels like it only heats up in certain areas and after letting sit and run for 10+ minutes the highest was 95F. The ambient temperature was 66 according to the...
Are all the Raptor steering wheels heated does anyone know? I want to add the red stripe Raptor wheel but don’t want to inadvertently lose my HSW function.
My HSW also doesn’t feel very hot unless I leave it sit on without touching it for several minutes. Even then the heat dissipates quickly...
Any chance you can check what temperature yours gets up to? Mine feels more like a warm in certain areas steering wheel not heated. I upped to the max temperature too.
Yeah man there’s a whole other thread. A lot of us bought the harness offered by boosted grey goose ($$$$) and then waited several months for delivery. Not sure what’s going on now as it seems the site has been closed for a few weeks, something about a move. The option for factory style switches...
