Powering A Rented Tow-behind RV

We're going to Arizona on a roadtrip and thought we might rent a tow-behind RV for a few days when we're there. I have a PowerBoost with the 7.2KW generator and would like to know what I need to buy to connect power to whatever we rent. I have plenty of extension cords but I think I might need something heavier to plug into an RV. We want to spend a couple of nights off the grid and enjoy the stars at night. Thanks

Something like these. you might need an extension cord depending on where you park your truck vs where the rv plug reaches. It probabbly won't reach from the back all the way to the truck if parked in front.

The rental will probably come with some length of power cord, but you may need an extension. Probably worth waiting to buy it until you know what the power requirements are going to be, since there are several types. You may also need an adapter to connect the rv cable to the truck.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll just see what they provide, if I need something else I'll find it out there.

Not sure the specs on a power boost power output. However the power needs over a camper with AC is 30 amps. 50 amp on bigger RVs that have 2 or more AC units.

When I hook up to a 20 amp on crowded campsites I pop the breaker regularely on hotter days.

As for the supplied power adapter with campers is typically 30 feet. I keep a 50 foot extension that ran about $60

OP - You absolutely need a 30amp four round twist prong to 3 pin RV plug like posted above. Another option is just a plug that does the same thing. That's what we have, but I'm on mobile so don't have the quick Amazon link. If the trailer is a 50amp, it may be too heavy to pull with a PB. The owner should provide at a minimum a 25' power cord. We carry a 25' and a 25' extension.

OP - You absolutely need a 30amp four round twist prong to 3 pin RV plug like posted above. Another option is just a plug that does the same thing. That's what we have, but I'm on mobile so don't have the quick Amazon link. If the trailer is a 50amp, it may be too heavy to pull with a PB. The owner should provide at a minimum a 25' power cord. We carry a 25' and a 25' extension.
