Did you do the clutch 4A or Hi-Lock 4A?
Went with the Lariat part, didn't want to over-complicate the issue...

One would also have to order the 4 position dash switch and I supplied the single use t-case bolts too. After that, it was all plug and play. Looking at the pricing, guess I was more towards $1300 all said and done... Local "trusted" trans shop installed the t-case for $250 and did a flawless job. Glad I didn't try and wrestle that out myself on the garage floor.

If someone needs a stock XLT non-4A t-case with low miles, I still have the low mile one in my garage!

My memory is there is Payload package and there is hdpp. Payload package is something you can get on the 2.7, but only XLTs and it brings the payload up to what you're basically getting with the 3.5 and 5.0. But you can get the 2.7, 3.73 gears and a 17-1900lb payload, otherwise it's somewhere around 1300-1500 depending on options.

That's what I ordered but I bailed on it for an in transit 3.5 truck. Just make sure to get the towing package, otherwise your towing is 6000lbs with a 2.7 or 7000? With a 3.5

Just for reference, here's the label for my '21 Super Cab, 8' bed, 301A, with HDPP, Max Tow, and 7,850 GVWR. I pull a 6,000 lb travel trailer a couple thousand miles a year, and a 14k gross dump trailer with my skid steer onboard (11k total) for short local distances. The EB does a good job with the travel trailer, and it's not bad with the dump and skid steer, though I wouldn't be taking it on long trips. I'm coming from 30 years of 3/4 ton diesel trucks.

I noticed that you can't get the HDPP with anything but XL (maybe 300A too) regular cab now.

A well-optioned '22 301A w/ HDPP will be extremely rare. Ford was deleting options on that model year due to chip shortages. I had special ordered one that, with lots of added options, was basically a 502A with cloth seats and without power-folding mirrors. Ford deleted enough that made it not worth spending the money, so I canceled my order. I imagine other customers felt the same.

Consider going back a year to a '21. I just bought a well-equipped 301A 4WD SuperCrew EB w/ HDPP. I probably paid somewhat more than objective market value but I really wanted an HDPP and it's a rare, well-optioned F150 with 2,400# payload.

HDPPs were limited to XL in MY 23 and killed off in MY 24. The last time HDPP was an option in Lariat was ~2018.
