  1. Defective Truck 120+ Days In Service Department

You can start with Ford and try a lawyer later. I would stress the safety aspect over any inconvenience. No one cares if it's annoying or you paid xx dollars. But you don't feel safe driving the truck with malfunctioninf headlights. I have a feeling you're out of luck due to timeline but they...
  2. Defective Truck 120+ Days In Service Department

I think this is why they discontinued it. It didn't offer anything the 2.7 couldn't do better. Diesel can get a little better mileage but with the fuel cost...2.7 and a 36 gallon tank is your ticket. Want a small diesel 1/2 ton? GM is the only decent option.
  3. Defective Truck 120+ Days In Service Department

Contact Ford customer service. They can facilitate the buy back. The problem with looking online is every state has different laws and their customer service follows the law per state, so they know. I had no pushback or issues getting my 2020 repurchased at full value when it was 22 months old...
  4. Defective Truck 120+ Days In Service Department

Chevy has a little diesel too, the 3.0 they make is actually a pretty good unit and better than Ford's 3.0 in nearly every way. Not sure if you'd want a Chevy or GMC though. In my opinion, their diesel is one of the few things they did right.
  5. Livernois or 5Star Powerboost Tune?

I assume it has to run for a certain amount of time to count as a key cycle? Or you just start and stop it 113 times and you're good?
  6. Regular Cab? Seriously?

Fast cars are going away. I think there will be a surge in sport trucks too. GM doesn't even have a fast car anymore outside the Corvette. I'm shocked they haven't jumped on the RCSB game and bet they will with the next gen.
  7. Regular Cab? Seriously?

Regular cab short box is a different animal and different market. Used supercabs and especially 2wd supercabs or crew cabs won't sell worth a darn here. 2wd crew's will sell down south. Regular cabs, if a shortbox, hold their value very, very well. 4wd is more sought after but rwd has it's...
  8. Real World Weight

I've gone to the scrap yard a few times and they weigh your truck before and after. My CC 4wd XLT 302a with a 3.5 comes in at 5300lbs with me in it. Minus me and my junk that puts the truck around 5025-5050.
  9. Regular Cab? Seriously?

With the way this started I thought you were cancelling your order! I keep getting the itch to jump on a RCSB. I'll be curious how the 2wd trucks fare for traction. For someone that is never going to supercharge it (me) It just seems like a $5000 upcharge for something I don't need. A...
  10. A new 2024 XL RCSB video

How tall is that guy? Makes the truck look huge.
  11. Installed K&N CAI cold air intake kit and Borla exhaust on 3.5 EcoBoost F-150

Are there gains with this k&n? Does it make the engine sound funny with extra noise and drone like some vehicles?
  12. What would you do?

You waited a long time because you ordered the truck 4 months before they were building them. Have you looked at dealerships that just have what you want in stock? It's not going to take that long to order one now that they are starting to make them.
  13. All-new 2024 Ranger / Ranger Raptor Deliveries + First Press Reviews Are Here

I just don't get the price premium over a ZR2 Colorado. It would be a tough choice between the two at the same price.
  14. '24 Base F150 XL vs. '24 Base Silverado WT

Yeah, it's 420hp and 460tq. Has been for 10 years. It's still decent but considering it needs premium, it needs an HP bump. 5% would be 441hp and 483tq. I'd be good with that if it wasn't a huge price premium and you could actually get it in a RCSB or just lower trims. But the 5.3 would...
  15. 2024 F-150 XL RCSB pic

LED are popular and HID is going away, but I found HID to be superior. I've seen tests that say the same, LED just don't throw the light as far. They work better than halogen though.
  16. 2024 F-150 STX Real-Life Photos from Dealership Lots

I felt like I was missing something with the 303 too. 302A is still a good package.
  17. Mid Cycle Refresh? What's next? Timeline

The 2024 made the Powerboost a basically no cost option over the 3.5. It's far more likely the 3.5 gets dropped and only the 3.5 PB, 5.0 and 2.7 is offered. I just don't think the 2.7 will go away, it's their volume seller.
  18. 275/65/18 to 275/70/18 upgrade inside

Weight will have an effect on city mileage but not so much highway. Rolling resistance will have more of an effect on the highway. You will get worse acceleration with the weight too. They make 275/70r18 General APT as well that isn't so aggressive. Additionally, Michelin is now making a...
  19. Anybody have their 24 built and/or delivered yet?

I've been going back and forth between a 24 or 25 rcsb as I really want a project truck, though I love my 22 supercrew. No e85 really takes the wind out of its sails. We have it everywhere here and that was a good .3 - .4 1/4 mile. Just enough to make a 2wd a fast enough stock truck. I...
  20. 2024 5.0 and Flex Fuel...

Can the trucks be scanned, even though not tuned? Is it possible they are still setup for e85 but have this new filter some are talking about? Seems like Ford would do the least they would need to and certainly not change parts if they didn't have to.
