I had an E-Locker on my '16 RWD Lariat with MaxTow. I just tried building a '24 on Ford's Build-and-Price site. 5.5' SuperCrew Lariats are available only as 4WD; XLTs are available as RWD. On those, electronic locking axles are available in 3.31, 3.55 and 3.73 ratios.
On my '16, the E-locker...
I just filled the tank yesterday and will calculate my mileage based on that, but it will take awhile. I don't drive it much and am traveling out of town next week, as well. (Not with the truck.) Over 30 miles driven since fill-up (1/2 highway), the trip gauge shows 16.5 MPG.
I have not. It's not that I considered it and rejected it, but that I never even thought about it. I'm not really familiar with the product. Besides which, I'm okay with the appearance of the traditional hood protector and already ordered one for $50.
I just ordered the AVS bugshield II and a Revolver X4S from RealTruck. Their social media person that monitors F150Forum and offers discounts also happens to be on duty on RealTruck's chat client. They don't provide promo codes but, instead, build and enter the order for you. 9% off of a $1,265...
Looks good. What model/finish?
Thanks for the heads up on the edges. Is that still an issue with it mounted? Or is the sharp edge concealed? I'll use cut-proof gloves (they're a thing, for working with glass or sheet metal) but am concerned about potential cut after install.
Looking at RealTruck web page for my truck I see several brands. The difference between some is obvious; for others, not so much. Among those described as "smoke" which, I gather, means glossy, were there differences in finish appearance? The pictures on the web page aren't ideal.
I've owned my '21 Velocity Blue XLT about 6 months. It's pure stock with two-tone paint, a black grill and some chrome. I'm not too finicky about its appearance but, while washing it yesterday, I noticed more rock chips in the hood than I was aware of before.
I'm contemplating getting a hood...
She says she doesn't have 360 cameras so the OEM trailer camera won't work, even if she swaps the trailer plugs and wire harness.
BTW, the job of replacing my existing wire harness for part # ML3Z-13A576-PK was plug-and-play on my '21 Job 1 XLT. No wire splicing required, but I did have to...
This looks like it never got answered. The OP is still active occasionally, so I will. Yes, it means you can't use an OEM backup camera without 360 cameras. The system is dependent on that functionality.
If you don't already have one, consider a Furrion. Your trailer may already be wired for...
On closer inspection, the new 7/12-pin combination socket in the camera/TPMS kit is already packed with the grease in the back connection of the 7-pin socket. It's a dark grease spread smoothly on the walls of a dark hole, so it's easy to miss. I already have the correct 7/12-pin connector on...
Thanks. My local dealer has it in stock for a bit less than Amazon or elsewhere. I'll reassemble the plug with what's already in it and fill it more when I have a chance to go by the dealer.
I'm installing the rear harness in my F150 that fully populates the 12-pin socket for use with a wired camera and TPMS. (The original has only 2, for the yaw sensor.)
The inside of the back side of the 12-pin connector is filled with a blue greasy material. It's obviously some kind of weather...
