Anyone noticed excessive oil consumption?

Had my oil changed out the other day and it seemed as though a noticeable amount was gone. Dipstick read approximately half.

Hopefully not tripping myself out from past stories of the 18-20s.

Have a Livernois Tuner waiting to be used but holding off and keeping an eye on this. Wouldn't want to install a tune then go to Ford with this potential issue and be told it's a result of aftermarket tuning.

Have seen almost no oil consumption. See entry on catch-can install. That 1/8" of oil on top of the other liquids is from about 3,000 miles of driving. Powerboost 3.5L, twin turbos, 3.73 axles. All standard Powerboost setup.

2022 5.0. Zero consumption so far.

Ironically just did an oil change yesterday on my 21 5.0, maybe burned through half a quart over 5000 miles. It was maybe 1/8” below the full mark, and I measure out 7.75 quarts exactly every oil change to put into it after draining overnight

Right under 10,000 miles. One oil change (went with LiquiMoly 5W-30 full synthentic - that's what the base auto hobby shop had). No oil consumption on factory oil or the replacement. I go hard at the autobahn and also do a lot of stop and go in the city. 5.0 3.31 4X4. They got this F-150 5.0 right.

2022 5.0 for me and I noticed it did consume about a quart in the first 4k miles. Changed it at 4k miles and it now has 7k on it and hasn't used any since. I just chalked it up to engine break in as ford states in the manual it is normal to use a little in the first 3k miles during break in

I have roughly 10,000 miles on 2021 5.0. Have done to two oil changes at this point. First change with Mobil 1 full synthetic, second change with pennzoil ultra plat. Definitely burned some Mobil one, but not enough to bother me. Maybe 1/4 quart in about 5,000 miles.

Would a catch can help at all with possible consumption? Or just with recirculation of oil, fuel, condensation.

I just added a catch can as well.
Funny, I used Mobil 1 and will be switching next change to Penn Ultra Plat too.

The engine is designed to be OK when the oil is down below the full mark on the dipstick so one can add a full quart at one time if needed. I would worry only if I needed to add a full quart between oil changes.
