I've had the same pending update for 3-4 weeks. It fails every night. Would someone here be able to tell me why it fails?
VIN 1FTFW1E57NKE89107
Thank you.
I did it on my '22 XLT. Wasn't too hard, just some sore fingers afterwards. Took me about 6 hours in all. I did the front seats one day, then the rear seats the next day.
But once it's done, it looks great. It really completes the already very nice XLT interior.
I also installed Katzkins on...
My truck seems to be plagued with some glitchy electrics. It seems to be getting worse over the past month or so. On Jan 18th and Jan 20th I got two Sync Power-up updates and I'm currently on 3.5.4. I don't know if this is related or not. I've owned the truck since October and didn't...
I had the same issue happened to me twice this morning. Cold, about 28 degrees, making a slight right hand turn coming out of a traffic circle, I heard the grinding/rumble strip like sound. Then it went away after about 20 seconds or so.
I couldn't make it happen intentionally. Cycling...
I've installed the eBay Katzkins in two of my own trucks at this point and I can tell you that they both looked great. My last truck had 115,000 miles on them and I had no issues at all. They held up really well. I can't say how they compare to factory leather, though.
Got it done. I did the front seats last Saturday and the back seats last night. In all, it took me about 6 hours. I bought the kit on eBay for $700 and it's probably the best upgrade you could do for that price.
When I did my last truck, it took me about 10 hours in total. But I just did one seat at a time, I could cut that time down significantly if I did them all in one day. I was just looking to see if anyone had any experiences to share.
I installed my own Katzkins in my 2015 F150. It wasn't hard but it was tedious. The worst part that I remember was the little plastic clips that hold the covers to the foam. My fingertips were sore for a week after that. I'm wondering if anyone installed their own in a 2021/2022 and could...
I cancelled my order for this exact reason. 14 weeks and no VIN. Two price increases of about $4000 total MSRP and the dealer tells me that Ford doesn't honor price protection so I'm expected to pay.
@Bannerman I appreciate the reply but if Ford doesn't honor the price protection, then the dealer passes that on to the customer. If you're waited 6-8-10 months, what are you going to do, walk away? Go buy somewhere else and pay ADM? Sorry I didn't mean to derail this thread, just a little...
I have a Chapman order, too. Still unscheduled. There have been two price increases since I ordered. It's true that they will base their pricing on the actual invoice when the truck is produced. Ford does not always honor their price protection I was told.
The price difference for me will be...
Ordered on Feb 7th. 501 Lariat, pretty straightforward build. No cameras, no tow tech, no sunroof. Still unscheduled. The orders that Fords picks to schedule don't seem to make any sense.
At this point, the likely scenario may be that I wouldn't see delivery until maybe August. I'd be ok...
No VIN for me this week. I thought I had a shot at getting scheduled since I don't have any of the options that other posters are saying could cause delays.
So you changed your color to atlas to improve your chances of being scheduled? Did that work out for you? I like space white but I'm not opposed to changing to another color. It just seems like they shut down the KC plant more often than Dearborn.
