I've been reading about some 5.0's having oil consumption issues. Could this be because of the cylinder deactivation? Has anyone deleted/deactivated it on their 5.0? If so, do you have any oil consumption issues after?

The manual says there will be oil consumption during the break in period. From the post here, it doesn't seem to be a huge problem. Be sure to use the oil thickness called out in the manual, 5w-30.

I just did an oil change at 1000 miles. Zero consumption of oil.
I have not deactivated my cylinder deactivation.
But quite frankly, I have not been able to detect cylinder deactivation working, either.
