I am having my transmission valve body rebuilt. Will report back if that fixes all the harsh shifts, but I suspect the cdf drum is the culprit

Ironically just did an oil change yesterday on my 21 5.0, maybe burned through half a quart over 5000 miles. It was maybe 1/8” below the full mark, and I measure out 7.75 quarts exactly every oil change to put into it after draining overnight

Not exactly sure what causes it, but I replied to another thread. I think I narrowed it down to leaving the driver door open for a long period of time. Somehow it resets everything but the mpg.

Anyone else had trip meters 1 and 2 randomly reset back to 0 and then show a low decimal for mpg? I use trip 1 to hand calculate mpg and trip 2 for my oil change. This is annoying. Has happened 6 times in 3 months

the first two weeks i had mine the average was showing 22.1 on the cluster. hand calculated it was more like 17, so dont get too excited yet. mines also the crew cab longbed 3.73 4x4. best hand calculation so far is 19.09 and thats 90% highway under 65 mph. my truck does have the 20 inch wheels...
