Issues with Adaptive Cruise Control Speed Sign Recognition (SYNC version 21281.244 - OTA 2.3.0)

The problem I have is that the places I've noticed it, there are no cross streets or parallel roads with signs. Fortunately, places I've been haven't had issues on the highway where I use cruise, only local roads.

On a roundtrip from Georgia to Virginia (~580 miles) mine picked up about 60% of exit ramp speed signs...every time I'd pass an exit it'd slow me down from 70mpg to 45 or 35 or even 25. Even when there was no exit ramp speed sign in sight it'd change speeds, presumably using connected navigation map data. Between that and not recognizing temporary speed signs like in construction zones, this feature is absolutely useless when it picks up the wrong speed 60+% of the time. I'm honestly really surprised Ford even launched it in this condition.
