When you pick a 4x4 Supercrew with 3.5-Hybrid and "Max Tow" does it state a GVWR tow number?

curious how much higher such a 4x4 can tow.

same truck with the Tow Tech pkg (like I ordered) has 7,350 GVWR which is not really that much.

another question: with a 4x4 Supercrew Lariat (Sport), what are the "accent color angular step bars" mentioned as included with the Sport appearance package? Are those smaller, localized steps beneath each door, as opposed to a full-length step bar on each side? Is there a photos of such on maybe a 2020 truck?

Reading through the Options price list, curious what the difference is between (18B) Running boards - Black Platform; and (18S) 6-in Extended Running Boards? Are those separate things? Or do you have to have the 18B and then add the 18S for boards to extend back past rear doors?

The 6" extendable go to the front of the rear wheel well on the 5.5 bed I have tried to find the picture of the Sport Board above that is extended but all I found were pictures of the extended power boards

The 18B are the boards that are on the STX XL models

Thank you. Looks like the "Sport accent bars" are quite similar to the 18B but its difficult to judge "width" in that Sport picture. Looks like the included setup with a Lariat Sport should be nice enough to allow shorter/younger passengers to enter the truck (front or rear).

thanks again!

Not a problem they look like the FX4 boards I had on my 2014 decent size step with treads

Not sure if you saw my post #78 ? about Max Tow rating GVWR # for a 4x4 Supercrew (5.5 bed).
Just wondering what the configurator says - if any specific value results to contrast with 7,350 #

It Does so I ran it with the 3 engines and max tow ... Seems low on all of them..

Max tow 3.5 PowerBoost 7350# GVWR PACKAGE
Max Tow 3.5 EcoBoost 7050# GVWR PACKAGE
Max tow 3.0 Diesel 7050# GVWR PACKAGE

I agree they look really tucked in on the truck.

I have had many F-150's and they all have had nice sized steps...

I like the power running boards for step in height on my Platinum but with 80k and 3 winters on them they are starting to wear out and at $1500 per side I will let the warranty pick that up...

Wow, seems its the 4x4 aspect that limits towing, which is a common thing.
4x4's have softer suspension for absorbing ruts, bumps, drop-offs, etc.

Unless the computer is "under-rating" what the Max. Tow pkg can truly deliver, than I'm satisfied that the 4x4 Sport/FX4 combo with Tow Technology package states the same 7,350 # value.

?

Is it possible we are misinterpretting the listed data? I believe GVWR Gross Vehicle Weight Rating doesn't indictate trailer weight, that is the truck's total wieght rating with payload, vehicle weight, and tongue weight. GCWR Gross Combined Weight Rating would indicate the total combined weight of the truck, trailer, and gear. Subtract the GVWR from the GCWR to get a rough idea of the max trailer weight, because I think you really need to put the truck on scales to get everything nats @ss figured to the pound. Sorry If I am way off base, here, just coming in at the back end of a discussion trying to help.

GCWR probably won't be published until the max trailer weight ratings are released. It should be printed on the door jamb sticker when we get our trucks of course. For the most part I suspect the 4x4 Powerboost max trailer rating to be 100 - 200 lbs less than a that of a 2020 4x4 SuperCrew because of the weight of the Hybrid System.

Looks like a 2020 4x4 SuperCrew with the 3.5Boost could tow 12,700 with the 3.55 rear end. I suspect that number had nothing to do with engine power, and was limited by the wheelbase and axle weight ratings because the lighter 4x2 had the same 12,700 rating. So, an educated guess would be 12,500 for the 2021 PowerBoost 4x4, and that and the Ford reveal number of at least 12,000 seems to jibe. But it's all guesses at this point.
