So, I'll start by saying that I've found 2 ways to "Australian-ise" the CarPlay display on the 12" infotainment screen. Each has one issue I cannot work out and if @Livnitup and/or @Jesse-Infotainment could help, I'd be very grateful and it might serve for others in right-hand drive countries who have bought direct US or Canadian imports.
Using the standard theme I made the following APIM changes:
Using As-Built:
7D0-03-01 **xx xxxx xx-- First Letter of Country Code (FLCC)
7D0-03-01 xx** xxxx xx-- Second Letter of Country Code (SLCC)
Country code = AU = 4155
Using non-As-Built:
Vehicle Driver Location (VDL) = Right Hand Drive
The above changes resulted in the following photo:
As you can see, the CarPlay icons are in their correct place for right-hand drive, but the left-most bottom buttons are being obscured by the cards. It would be nice for this theme to be able to move all the buttons to the right, so that the space vacated by the card buttons is utilised. Alternatively, to move the cards back to the right, leaving CarPlay as is, the icons still being in closer reach for the driver.
So then I thought I'd enable the Unreal theme and climate bar changes listed on the "Common" tab of the fantastic FORSCan spreadsheet. This would make the buttons issue above irrelevant. Making those changes resulted in the following photos:
As you can see, there is a navigation card and navigation section on the Home Screen. Don't worry, I've already consulted Jesse about Nav and it definitely isn't available because of the TCU not able to reach the AT&T network in this country. The issue, though, is the garbled text on the Home Screen nav section and a blank nav card. So I thought I'd try to get rid of them and therefore I made the following non-As-Built changes:
- List Browser = Disabled
- Mobile Navigation = Disabled
- Ignition Off Draw (IOD) - Navigation = Disabled
This resulted in the removal of the Nav card, but no changes to the Nav section of the Home Screen. Is removing the Nav section on the Home Screen possible?
Any help to clean up either or both slightly messy results would be greatly appreciated
