I think that just going in one direction is OK, but it can’t really hurt to recalibrate if you’re concerned about it.
The turning calibration senses the change in angle between the amount you turn your truck compared to how much the trailer turns, and can determine the relevant trailer characteristics from that motion. It’s going to be the same angle no matter which way you turn, so there shouldn’t really be a need to calibrate in both directions.
