Can anyone tell me what the Dot stands for? Only appears just after starting the truck and then disappears in about 10seconds.

The age old question. No one really seems to know. The best guesses are it’s a software glitch.

My got it once, and I haven’t seen it since...

There's a whole thread on this. We call ourselves the bubble club. Exclusive? maybe. I started a case with Ford to solve the problem. Gave them pictures. Just picked it up from the last recall/battery replacement. After 2 weeks of back and forth and no answers they told me pictures wernt good enough to solve the riddle and I would have to leave my truck with the service department for an answer after they run diagnostics. Needless to say I said thanks but no thanks. Truck runs fine. I don't want to risk them fowling up my truck. I've been less than pleased with my local service department and Ford support.

I had never seen it until today. No idea what caused it to be there or what made it go away.

Make sure you sand the rust off the bubble down to the base code first or it might come back:rolleyes:

I’m finally part of the mystery dot club too!!

What an honor!!

Mine seems to limited to just a few seconds after ignition startup. I had to be quick to snap a picture of it!

Exactly, Its like a Blue full moon, and it only appears for 10 seconds.

I see it and sing CCR-Bad Moon Rising

I see the bad moon rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today.

I noticed the bubble for the first time yesterday, shortly after I started the engine. Went away pretty quickly. Clearly a software bug which will eventually go away.
