As a follow-up, there were no codes. It was a blown fuse that I had my dash cam backup battery connected to; specifically the passenger compartment fuse 2 (delayed accessory feed). I really wish I had checked the fuse before sending the truck to the dealer. $200 to replace a $2 fuse 🤦♂️.
Whats...
I think I’ll be taking it to the dealer to have it checked out. But I’m out of town at the moment, so it’ll have to wait a week or two. I‘ll provide an update after I’ve had it looked at.
My truck power outlets, rear passenger windows, rear sliding window, moonroof, and accessory fuse powering my dash cam all no longer work. Any guesses what could be causing the issue?
I‘ve been driving up the road to her place for the past 2 years and I smell burning every single time. It’s the only place I notices the smell, so I assume it’s related to driving uphill. It’s an almost continuous climb for about 10 minutes
The lighting in the photo makes the speaker covers Look white, but they’re actually a brushed metal finish (maybe aluminum?), so a little nicer than the 💩 liner colour
Recently finished my bedrug install myself. I got the driver side cutouts perfect, but then screwed up the passenger light assuming the cutout aligned. Fortunately the mistake is hidden behind the new bed frame. Just spent a night camping and skiing.
My mom has a house on a mountain; getting there means driving up a winding road with lots of elevation gain. Every time I make this climb with my truck, there is a burning smell coming from somewhere when I get to the top. I can’t imagine it’s the brakes because I don’t use those much going...
The manual says that I'm to replace engine and frame mounted fuel filters at 30K miles (48K km) - is this correct? When I check the maintenance schedule on Ford's website using my VIN, there's no mention of replacing fuel filters.
From the manual:
Did you get the Fox coilovers? If so, compare the spring rate to your stock coils. I installed a coilover level kit on my 2015 truck and it came with Fox springs having a 200lb/in stiffer rate than the stock springs. I ended up having to reinstall softer springs.
For this reason I kept the...
I’m running 285/65/20 KO2s and can echo some of the other comments; great all-round tire and great aggressive look while still having decent road manners. However, they are a firmer ride and can have vibration issues at highway speeds. I’ve considered balancing with powder or beads to help with...
For those that don’t have it, full replacement coverage on a new vehicle is worth considering. My 2015 Lariat was totalled just before the 5 year replacement coverage ended. The insurance company got a quote directly from a dealer for a new 2021 Lariat and then wrote me a cheque for the full...
