It appears so, unfortunately. 2020 Edge here. I don't know what could have triggered it however, since I never had that issue before, nor did I update anything recently.
Been getting this message for my Ford Edge since a few days ago, almost every day, even though it's being driven daily. Never had that problem before and I didn't do any updates for quite some time. Very strange.
For the life of me, I'm unable to locate the specific source of a very annoying rattle. After experimenting with just about everything else, I believe I have narrowed down the source as being somewhere under the steering wheel cover. Something is loose in there and rattles like hell every time I...
Read this and immediately tried it the next day after parking at the mall. The boards did in fact stay down and that's exactly what I wanted.
However, after returning an hour or so later, the boards had somehow retracted back up. Weird.
Had the same issue on the rear passenger side. Had the dealer change the pads and it fixed the issue for a couple days. Squeal returned. Took her back in and had them change the discs too and it fixed the issue permanently.
Yes, and yes. However, it will give Ford a reason to reconsider ripping off their early adopters and loyal customers in the future, or at the very least give them bad press and hurt their wallet somewhat, as they've hurt ours too, considering we paid just as much money as someone who buys today...
It's my very first truck as well. Best purchase I ever made.
I've owned hundreds of vehicles throughout the years, many of which made me very happy, but none have given me the 'let's just go for a ride coz I can' feeling more than this truck has. It's powerful, versatile and fun to drive. It...
True true. I'm not so much worried about acceleration but rather want to make sure I can stop in time to avoid an accident. That being said, there are some pretty good inclines in this city and I've had bad experiences not being able to make it to the top with my RWD Charger back in the day...
I've seen this video before. Great example of how much of an impact good winter tires have on traction. I have excellent winter tires on my SUV (studded Nokians) and it makes it a joy to drive in the winter. Here in Quebec, winter tires are mandatory.
However, for trucks, our options are quite...
Nice setup there, thank you! Unfortunately, I do have the outlets back there (pro power on board) which I use quite often and I also have a swing out bin on one side that has some random tools in it and such, so my back end is already quite busy. A wood frame may not work so well in my case...
Thanks to everyone so far for sharing your thoughts and opinions which, predictably, vary.
Still not sure what I'm going to do, but if I do decide to add a few sand bags back there, any tips on how to make them stay put and not slide around in the bed all winter?
This will be my very first winter driving a pickup truck. I have a 2021 F-150 Platinum (4x4 with 4Auto as well) and live in Montreal. We have real winters up here, I'll tell you that much.
I understand the logic behind adding weight to the back of a 2WD pickup truck in the winter to help the...
