CCD Suspension Real World Pics

I hadn’t seen any pics of the CCD suspension so thought I’d share. Just brought her home and all I know is this is the smoothest vehicle I’ve ever driven (coming from a 2010 XLT so not saying much ?). I plan to get the 3.5” SST kit installed within weeks when it’s available so I hope it’ll be compatible (readylift site says so ?).

No, it's an option, truck has to be built with the CCD suspension.

I optioned mine /w the CCD Suspension also. Rides way better than my 2015. Not sure how much of that is the fact that my 2015 was 7 years old, how much of it is just the general 14th gen suspension redesign and how much is the CCD. That said it rides noticeably better than my previous truck.

I still found the "Normal" mode damping-map a little too conservative for the big bumps and railroad crossings, and such.

Sport Mode damping-map was better. I really really wish Ford didn't tie the various damping curves to the drive-modes. So irritating knowing that I don't have the button that the Raptor has for choosing damping separately.

I like everything about Sport Mode, including the shift strategy, but on a Powerboost Ford also removes EV cruising when in Sport. Arghhhhhh That's a 4-5mpg hit.

No matter how I approach this mind boggling technology packed truck, Ford has me just inches from nervana.

Husky. I did have to cut to make it fit on the passenger side.
