Black Appearance Package for 2022 F-150 -- First Look

Went in today to drop the BAP from my 2022 Lariat order, and they actually are showing the truck as previewed for scheduling. They should let me know Friday if the truck actually gets scheduled or not.

That's pretty encouraging since I still want the BAP...mostly for the hood. Since I ordered the Platinum I'm getting those wheels either way and I'd rather have the black ones. I'm mostly annoyed that they removed the blacked out headlight bezels and I probably won't get black tailpipes because of the PB even with the FX4, but at least the taillight bezels should be there. I'm sure I could have customizations done to pull off a much nicer black out...but it would cost more than the BAP and require me to drop it off for paint etc. Instead I'll just start with the BAP and tweak anything I don't like (probably wheels at some point).

Just heard from dealer my BAP platinum has VIN assigned and is scheduled for week of Feb 22. Ordered October 7th.

My dealer got back to me. He talked to Ford and they told him that this month they are starting to schedule black package builds for March. So maybe I won't have to wait until next Christmas after all. Woo Hoo! ?

Now if we could only see a Lariat or Platinum BAP we would know if we are excited or not.
Definitely not impressed with the XLT or STX so far.

I'm hoping that the dual exhaust is the same as the Tremor, really nice sound to it for a stock exhaust.

I figured hopefully the Lariats will get scheduled next week so I went ahead and switched my order back to BAP with the 3.5 so I can get the dual exhaust. Waited a little over a month for a regular Sport Lariat to get scheduled might as well wait a little longer and get what I want. Hopefully I get that March Build date next week

I got the Carbonized Grey. Looks really nice with the F-250 BAP so I am hoping it looks just as nice on the F-150. Was between White or Grey.
