2022 Lariat Black Appearance Package vs. 2023

Hi guys, I just put an order in for a 2023 F-150 Lariat PowerBoost. I did the Sport Appearance Package along with the BAP. I noticed when reading through the forums, 2022 BAP only had dual exhaust for the EcoBoost (998) specifically called out. I am noticing on the 2023; they don't call out the dual exhaust being to the 998 only. I have attached some snippets of the 2022 and 2023.

Does anyone know if they changed it for the 2023 year or if dual exhaust is still only for the EcoBoost?

I would find it unlikely that Ford redesigned the Powerboost exhaust for dual pipes given the current supply chain crisis, but anything is possible.

Interesting, also the 23 can't be ordered with CCD and BAP. That wasn't a conflict for the 22's. But then again mine still hasn't been built.

I found a better view for the 22 BAP and it does mention it can’t be ordered with CCD and BAP.

all 145 wheelbase models equipped with BAP should come with dual black exhaust tips i believe. (regardless of powertrain choice) starting 2023 year model

i mean based on reading the 2023 ordering sheet and inferring, i had come to the conclusion.

Oh gotcha. Yeah I was thinking the same way. I read elsewhere on here it was because of the way the exhaust exchanges heat for the powerboost and that’s why no dual for 2022 anyway.

I see that now, my order is a Platinum, which can have CCD with BAP. Ford and their odd requirements of different trim levels.

If they let us have e everything the Payload might actually become a negative number.

Other than not wanting another variation I can't figure out why BAP is limited to the 145" wheelbase. I was going to order it with my '23 platinum but 6.5' bed thus 157" wheelbase wouldn't let you order BAP

Interested in this topic considering I ordered a PB with BAP. Duals would be nice but I’m fine with either single or duals.

I wouldn’t be surprised it comes single exhaust considering 21 and 22 were like that. No changes to the 23 but that would be sweet to see dual on there.

let’s not forget the Tremor V8 will come standard with the dual exhaust tips as well..
