I am getting about 19 and have seems really have to baby it. 75mph is max over that and it will be under the 19 for sure. I try to run eco mode when just chilling but then times I love some sport mode!!
Mine is a 2021 loaded lariat 5.0

On a side note my son has a 2018 5.0 loaded lariat 4x4. getting about 17.5 to 18. came with factory 20's but he installed some take 2021 sport wheels. When he throws on some ford 17" wheels with the 245 tires. his mileage definately goes up to 19.
He ran his trk down the 1/4 mile a few times and throws on 17's for this.

I’m getting 17.5, which is actually better than what I got in my 2017 3.5 eco…. Apparently using the turbo a lot uses more gas than the v8 does so hey there’s that

Maintain proper air pressure in tires as the cold weather will reduce psi. Use the +/- buttons in Drive to eliminate top gears when climbing hills on freeway so engine can stay in efficient powerband. The engines with turbo's really benefit from this to keep boost low as it will suck more gas when boost increases because truck is in too high of a gear and lugging some. Configure your gauge cluster to display boost gauge instead of oil pressure so you know when boost is increasing. Besides, the oil pressure gauge is at zero 20% of time so kinda just scary to see until you realize engine is off.....lol....o_O

Boost gage for 5.0?
Got me there! Mainly speaking to turbo'd engines, especially the powerboost. Still might be wise to avoid lugging on non turbo engines for mileage gains.

For some reason my average has went down since the Roush exhaust install, I KNOW it can't be my right foot. LOL

It’s old school but I rely on a vacuum gauge on all my other v8’s. You just have to run a small tube through the firewall and hook it up to manifold vacuum.

basically the harder you push on the gas the lower the vacuum. It’s also an interesting talking point when people get in your truck

It’s interesting to watch how your engine responds at different conditions/loads, I’d be interested to see if the needle shakes when cylinder deactivation turns on

I just got my 2021 this week and have put some km on it. So far I’m getting 10.6L/100km and majority of that is highway. Crew cab 6.5 foot box, max tow and 3.73’s. It will be interesting to see how it does with more km on it but I’m overly impressed.

the first two weeks i had mine the average was showing 22.1 on the cluster. hand calculated it was more like 17, so dont get too excited yet. mines also the crew cab longbed 3.73 4x4. best hand calculation so far is 19.09 and thats 90% highway under 65 mph. my truck does have the 20 inch wheels but curious if the 18 inch (with a tire circumference calibration) would net any better mpgs? I have had this glitch recently where trip 1 and trip 2 will reset to all zeroes without me hitting "ok" to clear them, and ill let it go for a few hundred miles but yet the mpg part of the square will read 0.9 mpg or 1.5 mpg over the course of a hundred miles... has anybody else had this happen and is there a fix? regardless i havent had a true hand calculation for about 2 weeks due to this glitch since i cannot measure distance traveled when it resets halfway through a tank of gasoline.

This. I do this and I get 20 mpg in the city and 24-25 mpg hwy all day long. This is with winter gas and cold temps. I bought the truck in December. I assure you when summer hits and I am running summer gas and have warmer weather that I will be able to do better.
Is this with a 4 x 4 ? when does winter gas stop and if it already has have you seen a difference? What rear end ratio?

Yes, It is a 4x4. I believe the winter gas changeover is beginning now (Think it takes a couple of months) so I won't be able to see any difference until maybe May?

On a side note, I took a 4-hour trip through the hills of Arkansas 412 to Eureka Spring last week when the temp was in the high 70s and hit 26 mpg.

Checking back in here, lots of great comments! We took a trip to see family up in Massachusetts last week. Filled up with a fresh tank of 93 Octane from Phillips 66 on the way out of town. Returned 23 mpg for the round trip, the dash is dialed in within .1 of actual mpg. Mix of rural and highway on this trip. So happy with this engine!

What is your rear end ratio
Is this on the meter or are you hand calculating

3:31 on the gear ratio and the mpg is hand calculated...the truck gauge usually shows 1.5 mpg better than hand calculated.
