I would guess iDataLink should have a Sync interface for the 2021 soon. Also could just use an AudioControl interface to tie in to the high level outputs from the radio. This company sells pre built harnesses that plug into the factory plugs behind the radio and come with an AudioControl interface or amplifier:I ask because it seems that the B&O is not in a lot of builds at the dealers right now.
I have to have a nice system in the truck. So if I cannot find a truck with the B&O sans building one I was looking for tried and true options
I've been looking around to see what audio stores have for the 2021 non B&O. I've got in touch with Sounds Good Stereo in Nashville and they have provided me a list for things I would need specific to my build. Hope this helps:Has anyone who has the regular non B&O stereo upgraded the audio in their truck yet? Speakers, amps, subs etc?
We are confirming the 2021 Platform and should know within a few days.
- 4 gauge Amp wire kit & rcas
-- Amp Kit: https://soundsgoodstereo.com/produc...ge-power-cable-kit-designed-for-2015-vehicles
-- RCA: No need for front to back RCA cables, all connections in the rear with our T-Harness
- 6.5” Speaker adapters for the front doors (your kit looks great)
-- Speaker Adapters: https://soundsgoodstereo.com/produc...nch-or-6x9-to-6-5-inch?variant=32062129766490
- A way to tap into the factory head unit to amp (piggytails or plug and play harness)
-- T-Harness with Straight-Wire RCA Ends for Balanced Differential Inputs (Arc Audio Amplifiers)
- front door sound deadening
-- 4 sheets for a set of F-Series Doors
- 16 gauge speaker wire to rewire from amp to speakers or some kind of harness that utilizes the factory speaker wires if they can handle the power.
-- Will only need speaker wire to the A-Pillar tweeters, no need for extra wiring to the door speakers, it's all done in the T-Harness. Estimate 30ft
- Possibly amp rack
Also, you will need to flash the truck with the ForSCAN to set the EQ to flat and also turn it into Low-Level outputs. If you do not go this route, you will have to depend on one of these items to flatten the signal for you to restore the sound:
Use one if you do not want fader, use two if you want fader
You can use just one of these:
Hope this helps,
I agree the rear door speakers are terrible. I actually took mine in for a warranty issue because i thought no way they are that bad. But they are. Did you upgrade yours and if so did it help on the stock B&O amp? Ive already replaced the sub and ran my own amp to that but no sound from the rear. Its all in the windshield. waiting on an interface. The simplest, and by far best bang for your buck upgrade, is to get rid of those anemic factory rear door speakers.
