I hung a GoPro on the tow hook and captured the front dam in action. Seems to deploy at about 45mph.

I think this is standard but not sure. I've got a Powerboost. PlatinumThanks! Is this an option for certain trim levels?
was just thinking the same thing.I need to remember this when I see a shredded tire or something in the road I think is small enough to just drive over....
I wonder if the front cameras can sense non-trivial debris in the road and retract the air dam to avoid damage (ala' accident avoidance feature).I need to remember this when I see a shredded tire or something in the road I think is small enough to just drive over....
That's cool.I hung a GoPro on the tow hook and captured the front dam in action. Seems to deploy at about 45mph.
Thanks for that great video. With the winter roads around here , that’s going to function as a plow. It’s possible to drive at more than 45 even on snowy roads. If a vehicle ahead drops a chunk of snow or ice from the wheel well, the dam will hit It.I hung a GoPro on the tow hook and captured the front dam in action. Seems to deploy at about 45mph.

How flexible is the dam?
In your settings I think you can made it so it doesnt deploy. Thanks for that great video. With the winter roads around here , that’s going to function as a plow. I don’t suppose there is a way to prevent the air damn from deploying
Same with MN roads, theres only 2 seasons in MN, construction and winter.why can I already hear the service tech saying “Ford doesn’t cover the active air dam from damage caused by road debris or pot holes” after all I live in Ohio. Smooth roads are not in our vocabulary. ?
