ride quality does sometimes come down to the tire itself. for example.. an E/F rated tire will ride much stiffer than a SL rated tire. also AFAIK standard leaf springs and IFS doesn’t help much when it comes to low profile wheel and tire setups. However, Ram’s available air suspension option on their 1500’s allows those low profile wheel and tire setups to ride real comfortably. this is just my 2 cents lol.

Looks good. I went out of my way to get 18's on my Lariat mid trim because I was worried about rim contact with the curb. Turns out there appears to be plenty of exposed rubber on the stock 20 inch set-up to prevent that (from just looking), but I've been fine with the 18's. Not sure if I should be getting better or worse MPG than stock 20's, but MPG concerns have kept me in the stock 38 lb tires.

Hi Everyone,
Had some wheels put on yesterday, just wanted to share. They are the Brink B204 22x10 et 12. Wrapped them in 305/45/22 Toyo Open Country AT 3’s. Running stock suspension with rear blocks removed.

Love the setup! Great looking ride. Was wondering how this would turn out. Decision time!

Lol wut. Do you seriously think no one should ever put load range E tires on an f150? Sorry to burst your bubble but people do it all the time and it works perfectly fine.

Of course the ride is a bit stiffer due to 10-ply and typically higher operating pressures. But it offers a huge increase in load handling, trailering stability, long-term durability and blow-out protection, wear performance, and more. I'm about to order some in 285/60/20 for my '19 F150.

Haha well, ok then.

Its ok if you aren’t able to respect the limits of your vehicle just because of a tire change, but many of us can. The benefits for wear, punctures , blowouts, sway stability … i could go on. Only an idiot would go way over their payload or towing capabilities just because of the tire ratings. My ‘19 f150 is legally rated to tow just slightly higher than my old 2500hd was. What do you think the tire recommendations were/are? Everything overlaps, man.
