I'll just note @powerboatr 's good citation, many previous posts pointing out the facts of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, offer the caution that all VIN-specific limits and guidance should be observed when towing any rig, and agree with @EricR :seems odd as fifth wheel towing is listed in the ford trailer towing guide

My rig employs a B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck hitch specifically designed for the 2022 F150, an Andersen Ultimate hitch between the gooseball and the trailer, and every single criteria / rating / suggested limit published by the manufacturer of the truck (Ford), trailer, and hitch component manufacturers is respected (I'm no where near any of those limits with my 5500# GTWR 'fiver').That's one misinformed GM!
At least his taillights aren’t cracked!Honestly, all of this post over a dealer trying to unload a 250 on this unsuspecting 150 owner....
The Towing Guide is generic for ALL F-Series; that doesn't imply 5th wheels are recommended for half-tons. I have 33 years in dealer franchise management (mostly Ford, some GM), and neither manufactures recommend 5th wheel trailering for half tons. F250 minimum.seems odd as fifth wheel towing is listed in the ford trailer towing guide

Interesting. I've been retired last 5 1/2 years, so probably not up-to-date on this stuff; can you send me a link, and is it Ford warranty approved? Assuming it doesn't add over the payload limits, and within specific towing restrictions, I can't see a problem. They are now building 5th specifically for the 150 series
Pg. 23 is specific to F150s and has a 5th wheel / gooseneck table. The Towing Guide is generic for ALL F-Series; that doesn't imply 5th wheels are recommended for half-tons. FYI here's links to two 5th-wheel trailers which are scaled and intended specifically for towing with properly equipped "half ton" trucks. Both have been around for over a decade, and both are well within the various load and frontal area limits published by Ford for a properly equipped F150. There are likely others, the market is constantly evolving.Interesting. I've been retired last 5 1/2 years, so probably not up-to-date on this stuff; can you send me a link .....
There's no such thing as "Ford warranty approved" for any trailer (or any vehicle use for that matter). As with all aspects of using your vehicle, it's up to you to ensure preservation of your warranty rights by using your truck in a manner consistent with Ford's various VIN-specific and published general limits, recommendations, and guidance..... and is it Ford warranty approved?
