Hello everyone,

Was placing my order today but noticed when I tried to order the 5.0 engine, it wouldn’t allow me to select the 3.73 Electronic-Locking Axle. Is this not available in a RCSB ?

Evidently you can only build it in a 4x4 model. 2wd is not allowed.

I’m ordering it in 4x4 which is why I’m finding it strange that it isn’t letting me select the 3.73 locking axle

That would be a shame if they dont. I ordered a crew cab with the 3.73. what about a long bed? did you try that option?

Just tried that, still not offering 3.73. Would be a bummer if they no longer offer this.

Used to be. I ordered my 22 RCBS with 5.0 4x4 with 3.73 locker. I ordered FX4 as well. Not sure if that was the difference.

I don’t think the build and price is definitive I would chat with a dealer and see if they can include the option.

I have a 3.73 in my truck (2021), but the build and price as it is today doesn’t allow me to select it without max tow (not the case when I ordered)

I have the 3:73 on my 22’ Non FX4 reg cab short bed.

I don’t think I would be as happy without it.

Ford has been pulling a bunch of bullshit with the 2023s.

Many options that have been previously available no longer exist.

Definitely call a dealership or two to confirm but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if some bean counter that drives a Lexus to work decided that it didn’t make sense to have the 9.75” axle with the 3.73 gears in the single cab short bed configuration.

The funny thing is that the single cab’s short bed is the same as the crew cab’s long bed. The single cab short bed is more useful as a truck than Ford’s most popular crew cab short bed configuration but they keep giving both the regular cabs and extended cabs the short end of the stick.

Good luck!

I’m with you on that, I went for the middle of the road extended cab and am blown away with what I can haul in the bed.

Guys I work with that have big monster crew cabs never put anything but their pop can refundables bags in the back :ROFLMAO:
