I just have to say I am so pleased with how my mods turned out. I did a tuned by ford fox 2.0 level and cognito UCAs with fifteen52 traverse 17”, 0 offset, with 285/75r17 ridge grapplers. I love the look, gas mileage has gone down but I haven’t got the speedo adjusted yet so I don’t know for sure what I’m actually getting, but otherwise I am stoked with the driveability. Part of the mileage probably has to do with the fact I’m not driving like I’m on an eco-run anymore lol. Anyway just wanted to share!

Bro this is sick … im going the same way. 6112s set at 2.5. Getting the 17s double blk nv 305s methods with 285/75/17 toyo
Open country. Your truck has helped me decide which route to go. Was really going back and fourth on 17s or 18s My truck stock has 265/70/18. So my speedo wnt change to much

Thanks! Yeah I was having that debate too and just had to go with the 17s in the end and couldn’t be happier! What made my decision was a few weeks back I was getting service and sitting there looking at a new Bronco raptor with 37’s I think and it made me realize how much I liked the chunkier tire look over the big wheels! Also I like to go off road when I can so that also pushed me towards the smaller wheel! Can’t wait to see pics of your ride!

A bro. I went to 4wd parts today and was asking about wheels. They told me that a 17in wheel will not fit in my 23 since the caliber will hit rim. ??? Did you have any issues like this. I have came across people saying stuff like this but yet i see people with 17s???

Mine is a ‘21 and has no issues. My spare is a 17” rim. Check your spare tire and if it is a 17” shouldn’t be an issue. Maybe it is an issue with the offset? What are you trying to do? Mine are 0 on an 8.5” wide rim.

I may be wrong, but 17" wheels should fit all of the current gen trucks with the exception of those with the Max Tow package. The Max Tow has larger rear brakes which require an 18" wheel.

No guarantee here but from what I've seen people post, the situation is this:

If you have a powerboost or a max tow package, you have the larger calipers and rotors, and a stock offset +44 wheel would have to be 18" or larger to clear them. There are a few posts of people clearing the larger rotors with 17's if they have +18 or smaller offset (+22 might also work... I think that is what raptor wheels are). The wheels in this post are 0 offset 17's on a powerboost.

I think the size he is running is the largest I have seen on a 2-2.5" level and 0 offset without reports of rubbing; I've seen others report rubbing with a 34.5 and +12 offset. +18 seems to be the sweet spot for clearance at the crash bars and rear rotor

Some neighbor rivalry huh? Did you recalibrate for the tires? How's mileage been pre/post?

I haven’t recalibrated yet. The shop had a hard time with the company sending the correct one for the Powerboost. Without the speedo calibrated I’ve gone from getting 22-24 to like 18-20. I have noticed I am driving a bit harder though because I don’t feel like I’m on a mileage run anymore. I’ll update when I get the speedo calibrated and some more miles on it. I just did the math and it’s looking like 19-21 so not that bad
