I made a rubber from a sheet ( see a picture) went out and tried to close and open a few times! It is working great!

Make my own a few plungers just in case it shoots out and disappear! I make the OD where the rubber going a little of but bigger so it can fit!

what I mean by this: the one with red rubber I tried at home and it worked perfect!
The one with blue rubber: I shaved off the end( have wings located) that you push it in and turn counter clockwise. I shaved it off wings and drill and tap M3.
Orientation would be have the small slot upwards and tighten up M3 from outside ( remove the cover gas tank first). This way it will stay on and no more pop out!

Guys: as I said this morning! I tried my new rod and guess what it works fantastic. The fuel rod will stay there forever! It can’t go anywhere and also the rubber is awesome! I consider it is successful! See my video:

I certainly have a few of them laying around in my tool box, but i will make a video how to modify the original one, so it won't be able to pop out again. I also suggest use stainless steel M3 and Zinc washer then it won't get rusty. ( with garage tools)

I don't have the plunger, it fell off somewhere before I even noticed the issue.
