2021 XLT Crew Cab 2.7 EB Short Bed - Mods so far

Hello from Washington!

Got a 2021 XLT 2.7 EB earlier this year. Love this truck! Only problem I had was rough shifting in the lower gears, particularly 3-4. Dealer tightened up the shift rod/linkage and it has been good since. Upgrades so far are:

- S&B Cold Air Intake
- Raptor Grill
- Leveled 2" on Bilstein 6112 coilers and 5160 piggy backs in the rear
- 18" Fuel Blitz Wheels
- 295/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT3's
- Black tailgate lettering
- Wheel well liners
- Husky floor mats
- Stubby antenna
- Screen protector
- Undercarriage coating
- Built Right Ind. rear seat latch
- Ceramic Window Tint
- Spray on bed liner


Upcoming Mods:

- Waiting for delivery of my ARE Z2 Truck Cap
- Waiting for delivery of my 5 Star tuner
- Ordering a CVFab Intercooler soon

Looks fantastic! I'm also looking into the ADD Honey Badger as my next mod. Your truck looks great with the color match bumpers so i'm 50/50 on that. I'm looking at replacing my bumper cuz I have the chrome bumper.

Couple questions: where did you get the raptor grill and how do you like it? The only website I was able to find seemed fairly sketchy.

Did you have to do any trimming or bending the crash bars for the 295/70/18?

The 295/70R18's fit perfect without any trimming or messing with he crash bars.

how does the 2.7 handle that wheel/tire setup? What gear ratio do you have?

I got 3.73 gear ratio. It has plenty of pep, It doesn't feel any slower than stock to me. MPG only reduced by about 1-1.5 mpg. I am waiting for my 5 Star tuner to arrive to see how much of a difference that will make in power, shifting and mpg.

Upgrades look great! What has the incabin road noise change been like with the Wildpeaks in that size? I'm torn between them and the Toyo's in 295/70R18.

The road noise is very minimal. Just a touch over stock. I never really notice unless I am cornering hard then I tend to hear the tread a little more. But my truck is the family hauler as well as work truck and no one has any complaints about noise. So all that to say, I’m very pleased with them.

It allows me to easily access the small storage space behind the rear drivers side seat.
