I also recently put one of these on my truck. Primarily to prevent car wash damage. I have used FM radio several times, both normal and HD, and I do not see any degradation of signal in the area where I live. In the fringes of coverage, maybe. However, I am very happy with it and also highly recommend it.

I didn't notice any difference in reception from stock but also I live near a major city and haven't taken my truck road tripping yet...

I just installed the antennae Mustanga10 reccomend, time will tell. I am near the city and it seems to pick up all the AM and FM channels I like. I'll run it through a carwash this week and hope for the best!

Mine arrived today. The only thing I don't like is that the base of the antenna is ~⅛" bigger in OD than the post it screws into. Otherwise it's great.

Waiting on my truck, but I ordered this antenna. To be clear, its assembled in the USA. Parts are imported. We can probably guess where they are coming from. I'm sure it works well enough. And definitely nicer than that buggy whip...

I thought the belled out end would be too big as well, but it fit perfectly. I wonder if your post is different.

Much much better than the stock CB whip! Reception is generally pretty good where I live but I haven’t noticed a different yet either.
